Buy Iron In Wyndon Poke Center
When you reach Wyndon, head to its Pokemon Center in the main plaza. Speak with the Poke Mart guy on the right to purchase Iron for 10,000.

You can also exchange 2 BP for Iron in the Hammerlocke BP Shop. Battle Points can be received by winning ranked battles in the Battle Tower.

Raises Defense EV Of One Pokemon
If you give a Pokemon some Iron, it will increase Defense EVs by 10. Vitamins are mainly used to raise a Pokemon's base points or effort values for competitive breeding.
