Beginner's GuideAlways Look At The Map
Locate Your Teammates & Your Opponents
The Mini-Map provides you with a lot of information in real-time. On the mini-map, you'll be able to see the location of your allies & opponents as well as where they are heading. Use this info to your advantage by either ambushing, attacking, or fleeing.
Check It Frequently
During the start of the match Make sure to check your mini-map everytime you KO a Wild Pokemon. Once you've gotten used to it, always have your vision on the mini-map at all times to keep track of your opponent's moves. Try to check it every 5 seconds.

Move While Attacking
When attacking a wild Pokemon we highly suggest that that you move while attacking. Even if there is no one else around, we don't recommend attacking while standing still. This is because you can be an easy target from enemies hiding in the bushes.
Don't Let Your Opponents Read Your Every Move
If you always move forward while attacking and going backward when escaping your opponent will be able to read your moves. Make it random and mix your movement to confuse the enemy. You can also cancel abilities to bait enemies.
Learn When Pokemon Obtain New Moves
By learning the level each Pokemon evolves or learns new moves, you can make more informed decisions on when to attack and when not to. If your opponent has their next move and you don't, you'll want to avoid attacking and focus on getting exp instead.
Power Spike Guide - When Pokemon Get StrongerAlways Knockout Drednaw In The Match
Get Ready For The 7:00 Mark
Knocking out Drednaw gives your entire team a large amount of experience and shields, thus giving you an advantage in the battle. It spawns once the match reaches the 7-minute mark. Head there first and try to take it first. If successful, push with your team.

If you can KO Drednaw multiple times, you'll be able to gain a level advantage over your opponents. Be sure to check for Drednaw since it always respawns every 2 minutes.
Keep Calm & Fight
Provide Back-Up In Other Areas
If your team is at a disadvantage in some areas, try to take advantage in other areas. For example, if you have 2 allies in the upper lane and they are are facing 3 opponents, go try and contest the lower lane instead. Once you succeed in overpowering your lane, move back and help the other lane.
Keep Up With The Enemy Team
If defeating Drednaw is a bit difficult for your team, focus on other things to keep up with the enemy team. You can go to the upper route for Rotom or go to the opponent's jungle to gain EXP from their Wild Pokemon or collect the orange and purple buffs. Whether you're behind or in a close battle, it'll be important to not lag behind.
What To Do In A Close BattleProperly Use The Eject Button
Use It To Get Over Obstacles
The Eject Button is a great utility item as it can be used for both offense & defense. Using it well can give you quite an advantage in the long run. For example, using it to cross obstacles can help you escape or gank enemies. Be imaginative and try to seek out spots where the Eject Button can be used well.
Combine With Attacks
For some moves, you can extend the distance of the move by using the eject button while it is in use. Snorlax's Heavy Slam move is a good example. It's very difficult for the opponent to see and react to this almost instantaneous move, so if you get it right, it can give you an advantage in battle.
