Purity Reveals the Stubborn Stone Walkthrough

Go to the Riverbank

Teleport to Qingbo Stockade and follow the quest marker to the riverbank. Tangtang notes that the heavy fog in the area makes perfect sense as to why this place has to be their hideout.

Go to the Hideout of Ruan Yi's Loyalists

Talk to Tangtang to confirm and proceed with this mission. Keep in mind, though, that from this point forward you're going to switch to a fixed team composed only of the Endministrator and Tangtang.

Go Deeper Into the Hideout of Ruan Yi's Loyalists

From there, follow the quest marker through the platforms and corridors until you reach a drawbridge. A couple of Ruan Yi loyalists will attempt to raise it but Tangtang will manage to hop on and cross it. You, however, will have to find another path.

Find Another Path

Take the path to your left and jump over some lily pads to reach a hidden gateway. Tangtang will open it up for you.

Meet Up With Tangtang and Find a Path Forward

Meet up with Tangtang and follow the quest marker leading to a stock room filled with explosives. Inspect the items here to reveal the reason for the deep-seated hatred that Qingbo Stockaders have against Wuling.

Defeat Ruan Yi's Loyalists

Clear out the loyalists and head deeper into the stockade when the fight is done.

Use the Control Panel and Help Tangtang Reach the Elevator

Follow the objective marker to the control panel and interact with it. Rotate the panel to let Tangtang cross the other side.

Attack the Device to Rotate the Pipes and Provide Water Power

Press the control panel again to extend the bridge toward the power device on your left. Approach it and attack it directly to rotate the pipes and reroute the water supply. Once the pipes are aligned, the elevator gets power so Tangtang can proceed.

Search the Room

Meet up with Tangtang to reach Ruan Yi's room. Interact with the marked objects throughout the room. Each one reveals something about Ruan Yi, his plans, his reasoning, and what he was working toward. Eventually Tangtang asks for help opening a locked crate. Interact with the locked crate to reveal a very suspicious apparatus.

Parlay With Ruan Yi's Loyalists

Walk toward the quest marker to finally meet Uncle Shang. Tangtang tries to persuade him to return to the stockade and make peace with Wuling, but her words fall on deaf ears.

Combat Begins Immediately After the Cutscene

You need to defeat 3 waves of Ruan Yi's loyalists. It's not an entirely difficult fight, and it's also a good way to decide whether you'd like to pull for Tangtang. She's a very agile cryo operator with a good combo and a good set of skills.

Defeat Ruan Yi's Loyalists Again

Defeat the waves of Ruan Yi loyalists. Once the battle ends, Uncle Shang finally yields, and Tangtang makes another attempt to convince him and the loyalists to choose peace.

Go to the Ancestral Spring

After the cutscene, follow the quest markers back toward the Ancestral Spring. Find Tangtang there to watch the conclusion of the mission. The quest completes when the final scene ends, and the next mission, Twas One River That Gave Us Drink will be unlocked.
