How to Do Gear Artificing

Artifice is a system that enhances specific stats by equipping and stacking multiple pieces of Gear.

Prepare the Gold Gear to Artifice

First, gather the Gold-Quality Gear you want to enhance through Artificing. Note that only Gold-quality Gear is eligible for Gear Artificing.

Tips!	Blueprints for Gold-Quality Gear and materials, such as Hot Work Gear Packs, can be acquired in the Wuling area.

Prepare Same-Slot Gear for Artificing

Check the stats of your gold-quality Gear and select the one you want to artifice. Use Gear of the same slot and stat type as the material to enhance it. It is recommended to mass-produce identical gold-quality Gear for easier enhancement.

Prioritize Using 'Good Match' Gear as Material

Gear labeled as "Good Match" has a higher success rate, so it should be prioritized as enhancement material. This happens when the material Gear's initial stats are higher than those of the gold-quality Gear you want to enhance.

Prepare Artificing Catalyst

For Artificing attempts, you must use an "Artificing Catalyst" from the same region as the Gear's affiliated region. One Artificing Catalyst is consumed per attempt, so be sure to obtain it through Stock Redistribution in Regional Development.

Tips!	You cannot obtain an Artificing Catalyst through trade until the Stock Redistribution Terminal is upgraded to Level 2.

From Menu → Gear Assembly → Gear Artificing

To perform Gear Artificing, open the Menu → Gear Assembly → Gear Artificing tab. It can only be done in the Core AIC Area.

Select the Gear and Stats to Artifice

Select the Gear and the target stat, then attempt Artificing. Note that Gear Artificing does not guarantee success, and even if multiple stats of the same type are present, only one can be enhanced per attempt.

Tips!	Each individual stat has a fixed maximum number of Artificing attempts.

There is an Artificing Progress (Pity) System

Each time Artificing fails, the Gear's Artificing Progress increases by 1. Once the progress reaches its maximum value, the next Artificing attempt is guaranteed to succeed (100% Rate). The maximum progress value varies depending on the Gear and selected stat. Artificing Progress resets upon a successful attempt.

Artificing Stats Priority

Prioritize Gear-Specific Stats

Among the available Gear stats, it is recommended to prioritize Artificing Gear-specific stats. Stats such as "Physical DMG Bonus" and "Battle Skill DMG Bonus" have limited enhancement sources, making them higher priority for Artificing.

Prioritize the Character's Main Stat Next

Increasing a character’s main stat grants an additional ATK bonus. You can view a character’s Main Stat by navigating to the Character List and selecting the 'Attributes'.

Tips!	For example, for Endministrator, it is recommended to prioritize increasing their main stat, "Agility."

How to Unlock Gear Artificing

Unlocked by Completing Side Mission 'Gear Artificing'

Gear Artificing is unlocked after clearing the side mission "Gear Artificing." Progress through the Wuling main missions until the required mission becomes available, then speak with Lian Xiaowu at the Bureau of Swordmancers in Wuling City to unlock the feature.
