Agony Mode Team Comps
Laevatain Heat Comp
| Attacker | Heat Infliction | Crowd Control + Debuff | HP Support |
Laevatain | Wulfgard | Gilberta | Ardelia |
A Heat-focused team setup featuring Laevatain as the primary DPS. Gilberta is crucial here, as her crowd control works on almost every enemy, letting you vacuum them into a kill zone. The only exception is the final Tunneling Nidwyrm, which resists the pull.
Tips! | Even against burrowing enemies like the Tunneling Nidwyrm, you can inflict Susceptibility to massively ramp up DMG. Chain Laevatain's Ultimate into Gilberta's Ultimate for best results. Just make sure to build up your Ultimate Energy beforehand. |

Endministrator Physical Comp
| Attacker | Attacker | Crowd Control | HP Support |
Endministrator | Chen Qianyu | Gilberta | Ember |
A Physical damage squad built around the Endministrator. Gilberta handles crowd control, while Ember keeps health bars green. If you have HP to spare, you can intentionally tank a hit to trigger Ember's Combo Skill, setting up a devastating chain with Chen and the Endministrator.
Strategy and Tips for Unorthodox Tactics
Defeat Enemies Before Their ATK Increases

The enemies here are stationary turrets, but don't get complacent; their Attack power ramps up over time. If you dawdle long enough, their damage will spike unexpectedly, so being aggressive is the best strategy. Wipe them out fast.
Tips! | Stationary doesn't mean immune to physics. Pull effects like Gilberta's Battle Skill or Lifeng's Ultimate work wonders here. Just remember, crowd control won't work on the final Nidwyrm. |
|---|
Dodge Enemy Attacks
Even without their ramping buffs, these enemies hit hard. When multiple foes fire simultaneously, taking those hits face-on will melt your HP. Keep your eyes peeled for telegraphed attacks and dodge them to stay in the fight.
Wipe Out Enemies with Crowd Control Skills
These swarms of smaller enemies might not move, but that doesn't mean you can't move them. Use Crowd Control skills to vacuum them into a tight cluster. Once they're grouped, unleash your main attacker's AoE to delete the whole pack in one go.
Watch Out for the Tunneling Nidwyrm's Acid Spit
This trio of Tunneling Nidwyrm at the end possess a nasty, high-velocity spit attack that's tricky to sidestep. The animation is very subtle, so watch for their mouths twitching or mumbling. That’s your cue to dodge immediately.
Recommended Characters for Agony Mode
Characters Who Can Restore HP
| Character | Role/Recommended Points |
Ardelia | [Role]: HP Recovery + Debuff [Recommended Points] - Can restore HP with her Ultimate and Battle Skill - Increases attacker's damage output with Susceptibility |
Ember | [Role]: HP Recovery + Shield [Recommended Points] - Recovers HP with her Combo Skill when hit - Grants a Shield to the entire team with her Ultimate |
Snowshine | [Role]: HP Recovery + Cryo Infliction [Recommended Points] - Recovers HP with her Combo Skill when HP is low - Inflicts Cryo with her Battle Skill's counter |
Since you can't bring recovery items in Agony Mode, it's recommended to use a support character who can heal a lot of HP, like Ardelia or Ember. Choose whichever character fits your team best.
Characters Strong Against Multiple Enemies
| Character | Role/Recommended Points |
Gilberta | [Role]: Crowd Control + Debuff [Recommended Points] - Crowd control is extremely effective against stationary mobs - Inflicts a powerful Arts Susceptibility with her Ultimate |
Laevatain | [Role]: Main Attacker [Recommended Points] - High-damage, wide-range attacker - Excels at deleting multiple enemies at once |
Lifeng | [Role]: Main Attacker [Recommended Points] - His Ultimate becomes a nuke when he gains a Link - Can group enemies together and deal massive AoE damage |
This stage has many small enemies, so characters who can hit multiple targets at once are powerful. Gilberta is especially useful here, since she can group enemies in one place so they're easier to defeat, so we recommend including her if you have her.
