Protocol Space in Endfield is a set of instanced challenge stages that provide enhancement materials for Operator and weapon progression. It is divided into five categories: Operator Progression, Weapon Progression, RE-Crisis, Crisis Details, and Energy Alluvium. Higher difficulty levels provide better rewards.
Claim Rewards Faster with Sanity Permit
Using a Sanity Usage Permit allows you to claim double rewards in a single run at the cost of doubled Sanity consumption, making it an efficient option to reduce overall farming time.

In Operator Progression, you can obtain Progression Materials needed to level up your characters. Decide which Protocol Space to run based on what your character needs.
Select Rewards in Advance (Lv. 3+)
For EXP, Promotion Materials, and Skill Progression Materials, you need to select which reward you want before running the Protocol Space. Choose the materials you need for the character you want to enhance.
Obtain Exclusive EXP & Tune Materials

In Weapon Enhance, you can obtain Weapon EXP and Tune materials. Once you are done with character enhancements, focus on leveling up your weapons next.
Weapon Tune Rewards are Selectable From Level 3
For Weapon Tune, you can select Heavy Cast Die as a reward from Level 3. You cannot select your rewards for Weapon EXP, but upon reaching Level 5, the early-game Progression Material, Arms Inspector, will no longer be included in the rewards.
RE-Crisis Provides Late-Game Skill Progression Materials
RE-Crisis will allow you to challenge bosses that you've already fought in the Main Story. Beating them will give you advanced character materials, such as those used for skill levels 10 and above.
From Level 4, Use Sanity to Obtain Regular Items
From level 4, in addition to first-time clear rewards, you can consume Sanity to get regular rewards in "Deep Dive" Mode, which is automatically unlocked at Exploration Level 5. In addition to Matadiastima Photoemission Tubes, you can also randomly obtain Tachyon Screening Lattices and D96 Steel Sample 4.

Can Also Get Skill Mastery Materials in Crisis Drills
Crisis Drills features a single fixed difficulty at Level 80. Similar to RE-Crisis, it rewards advanced Operator materials, including those required for Skill Levels 10 and above.
Consider Buying From the Shop if it is Too Difficult
Because this Protocol Space is quite difficult, it can be hard to farm for materials. Consider buying from the shop with Bond Quota. You can get them through Operator duplicates.
Obtain Essence From Energy Alluvium
Energy Alluvium provides progression materials primarily for early-game advancement. At higher difficulty tiers, it also rewards Essence, which can be equipped to enhance weapons.

Level Up & Promote Characters in Early Game
In the early game, prioritizing character level progression is essential. Challenging Operator Progression Protocol Spaces provides the materials required for leveling; however, each run consumes Sanity, limiting continuous farming.
Enhance Your Weapons Next
After you have leveled up your characters significantly, your next priority should be enhancing your weapons. Depending on your progression, you can take on challenges for Weapon EXP and Weapon Tune.
Guideline After Unlocking the Dijiang
When you progress enough and unlock the Dijiang, you will be able to craft Character Progression Materials in the Manufacturing Cabin. At this point, you can switch to running Weapon Progression Protocol Spaces.
Best to Obtain Weapons Through Weapon Armaments
While some weapons can be purchased, they can also be obtained through the weapon banner. To be able to enhance good gear in Protocol Space, make sure to regularly collect materials for weapon enhancement.
Enhance Skill as You Progress
Skill development should be progressed alongside overall account advancement. Due to the limited availability of Skill Progression Materials in the early game, resources should be allocated to a core team, primarily main DPS units.
Clear Content That Does Not Require Sanity
Modes like RE-Crisis and Energy Alluvium don't require Sanity for the first attempt. Be sure to actively clear any content you can challenge without consuming Sanity.
How to Save Sanity in Low-Level Zones on Your First Run
When the next area within a Protocol Space is unlocked, you can exit without claiming the rewards from the low-level area. This allows you to proceed to the next stage without consuming any Sanity.
Protocol Space - How to Unlock
Progress Through Story Mission Chapter 1
Protocol Space is unlocked by progressing through the story and clearing the Protocol Space tutorial. This will occur automatically as you advance through Chapter 1. Keep playing the story until you reach it!
Story Walkthrough Chart - Main Missions
Must First Unlock Protocol Space
You cannot access a locked Protocol Space. Track and unlock it first. Once available, you can enter the Protocol Space either by traveling to its location directly or via Menu → Operation Manual.
