How to Fix Power Shortages

Install Thermal Banks to Increase Power

Thermal Bank Unlock in Plan

If you encounter a power shortage, install Thermal Banks to increase power output. Thermal Banks can be unlocked by accumulating Industrial Points and completing the "Research" for "Thermal Bank" under Basic AIC II in the Basic AIC Plan.

Review Facilities if Power Is Limited Early

Thermal Banks are unavailable in the early game. Until you progress the "Basic AIC Plan" and raise Basic Industry to Level 2, adjust your facility count to keep total power consumption within 200.

How to Increase Power with Thermal Banks

Unlock and Install "Thermal Bank" in Basic AIC II

To install Thermal Banks, you must first unlock Basic AIC II. The required materials can be obtained from Main Mission Chapter 1, Process II, “Paving the Way.”

Research "Thermal Bank" in Basic AIC II

Upon unlocking Thermal Bank in Basic AIC II, you will receive one Thermal Bank. Using easily obtainable early-game fuel such as Originium Ore increases power output by 50.

Install a Thermal Bank and Connect it to a PAC

with a Transport Belt

Place the Thermal Bank in alignment with the PAC’s arrow direction, then connect both structures using a Transport Belt. A white glow indicates a successful connection.

To operate the Thermal Bank, insert Originium Ore or Batteries as fuel. In the early game, it is recommended to use Originium Ore obtained through manual or automated mining.

Use Batteries Based on Progress

Batteries provide high power output and significantly boost generation efficiency. However, because they must be manufactured, they are not readily accessible in the early game.

Thermal Banks for Power Supply Tips

Use Sub-PAC for Power Lines

Since power generation-related facilities are often left untouched after being installed, we recommend grouping them together in a Sub PAC. It will be easier to manage if you clearly separate the roles, with the Main PAC for manufacturing and the Sub PAC for power generation and batteries.

Select Thermal Bank Fuel by Progress

For Thermal Bank fuel, transition from Originium to higher-tier materials, such as Batteries, as your progression advances. Higher energy efficiency materials also come with increased manufacturing difficulty.

Batteries Differ by Area

Types of Batteries in the Valley
Originium Ore LC Valley Battery SC Valley Battery HC Valley Battery

The types of batteries available for production vary by region. For example, Valley IV allows the manufacture of four types. They can also be moved through Regional Transfer, though batteries from newly unlocked areas generally offer higher energy efficiency.

Calculate the Production of Batteries

When using batteries as an energy source, you need to produce batteries to run the Thermal Banks. Be sure to calculate the amount of batteries needed to operate the Thermal Banks. If you run out of batteries, you risk a Power Outage.
