When you run into a power shortage in Endfield, build a Thermal Bank to increase your maximum power capacity. In the early game, use the Originium Ore Thermal Bank and utilize batteries as you progress.

Originium Ore Thermal Bank for Early Game

Thermal Bank Blueprint
Power Generation 320

This is a recommended power generation line using Originium. Use this if you are having trouble with power in the early game. The power generation efficiency is not very high, so it is recommended to upgrade your power source once you are able to manufacture batteries.

Thermal Bank using Low-Capacity Battery

Thermal Bank using Low-Capacity Battery

Power Generation 660×2

This is a recommended power generation line for Sub-PACs that incorporates Low-Capacity Batteries. You can build it on both the left and right sides. Each side can supply 660 power while also producing LC Valley Batteries. LC Valley Batteries are an important material for obtaining Stock Bills, so it's a good idea to set this up early.

Thermal Bank using a Medium-Capacity Battery

Thermal Bank using a Medium-Capacity Battery

Power Generation 1260

This is a power generation line that uses a Medium-Capacity Battery and a Depot Bus Port. You can supply 1260 power while efficiently producing SC Valley Batteries. Switch to this once you are able to craft it.

2 Main Causes of Power Shortages

Power Needs to be Delivered

If you are unable to supply power to a facility you want to use, you need to supply power by using Relay Towers and other means. The two main methods of power transport are: "supplying power from other areas" and "increasing the supply range with Basic AIC Ⅲ research".

Unlock and Install "Thermal Bank" in Basic AIC II

Unlocking the Thermal Bank in Basic AIC II allows you to secure another power source, significantly increasing the factory's maximum power capacity. It is recommended to prioritize unlocking the Thermal Bank after unlocking Basic AIC II.

Limited Power in Early Game

In the beginning, you won't have much electricity to work with, which makes it so easy to experience power shortages, especially if you have too many facilities running at the same time. Since you can't build Thermal Banks early on, try to prioritize only the most important machines so you don't exceed your power limit.

How to Increase Your Power Supply

Install Thermal Banks

How to Unlock Basic AIC II "Thermal Bank"

To increase your maximum power generation, you need to install Thermal Banks. If you're short on power, your production lines will eventually stop, so be sure to deal with it quickly.

Research "Thermal Bank" in Basic AIC II

Unlocking the Thermal Bank in Basic AIC II allows you to secure a power source separate from the regular power supply, greatly increasing your factory's maximum power capacity. After unlocking Basic AIC II, we recommend prioritizing the Thermal Bank.

Use a Sub-PAC for Power Generation

Since power generation-related facilities are often left untouched after being installed, we recommend grouping them together in a Sub PAC. It will be easier to manage if you clearly separate the roles, with the Main PAC for manufacturing and the Sub PAC for power generation & batteries.

Energy is Required to Operate a Thermal Bank

Installing a Thermal Bank on the factory site increases the power generation of the PAC. To operate a Thermal Bank, you need Originium Ore or Batteries. The battery generates a lot of power and can run the factory efficiently.

Calculate the Production of Batteries

If you choose to power your machines with batteries, remember that your Thermal Banks will constantly use them up. To prevent a sudden shutdown, ensure your production lines are creating enough batteries to match your total consumption rate.

Unlocking Power Facilities

Unlocking Conditions

Condition Unlocked Facility
Basic AIC I Electricity / Power Relay
Basic AIC II Thermal Bank / Pylon Relaying
Basic AIC III Relay Redistribution

You can obtain the items needed to raise your Basic AIC level by completing Main Missions. Once a Basic AIC level is unlocked, you can collect Basic AIC Index from a Protocol Datalogger and unlock facilities by researching them.

How to Collect AIC Factory Plan Points

You can obtain points to use in the AIC Factory Plan from a Protocol Datalogger. You don't need to explore to find them; by clicking the icon next to the number of consumed points in the AIC Factory Plan, undiscovered Protocol Dataloggers will be listed under 'How to Obtain.' Click to 'Track' and go get them.

Unlock Electricity and Power Relay in the Early Game

Once you can perform industrial construction with the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), open the AIC Factory Plan and prioritize unlocking 'Electricity' and 'Power Relay' from Basic AIC I. By raising the power usage limit early on, you will be able to use more facilities from the beginning of the game.

Unlock Thermal Bank and Pylon Relaying

Arknights Endfield Pylon Relaying Unlocked

By clearing 'Paving the Way' in Chapter 1 - Process II, you will obtain the item to unlock Basic AIC II. By unlocking Basic AIC II, you can meet the unlocking conditions for Power and 'Pylon Relaying', which can supply even more power.

Pylon Relaying Requires 250 Power Generation

To research Pylon Relaying, your power generation must reach 250. First, learn the basics of Thermal Banks in the Simulation and increase the power generation of your facilities.

Note! By installing one of the power generation facilities you receive from the Thermal Bank Simulation, you can meet the requirement to research power generation.

Unlock Relay Redistribution with Basic AIC III

By progressing further in the quests and obtaining the item to unlock Basic AIC III, you can unlock Relay Redistribution. This will allow you to supply power over a wide area using a Relay Tower.

Precautions for the Power System

Power Supply and Delivery are High Priorities

When using the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), it's no exaggeration to say that securing power capacity is of the utmost importance. As you increase production lines and build more complex factories, you will need to be mindful of your maximum power capacity. Prioritize building your power system to increase your power supply.

Restoration Required After A Power Outage

If you install too many facilities for your power supply, you will use up more of your stored energy, and when that runs out, a power outage will occur. If power consumption is exceeded, you must perform restoration work by adding more Thermal Banks or reducing the number of running facilities.

Check Power from the AIC Screen

You can check the power usage status from the lightning bolt icon above the top-down view of the Automated Industry Complex (AIC). If power consumption exceeds the power supply, the power value will be displayed in red. Check the overall power consumption and production status of the entire Automated Industry Complex (AIC) from the PAC's details screen.

Note! On the PAC screen, you can also check the amount of stored power in the center of the power consumption screen!

Power Depends on the Material Consumed

Arknights Endfield Auto-Production Formulas

The amount of power generated differs depending on the material fed into the Thermal Bank. However, in the case of batteries, the consumption time is a uniform 40 seconds regardless of the material used.

Point! In the case of Originium Ore, it consumes 1 item every 8 seconds and continuously generates 50 power.

Check Power Balance with the PAC

The current power balance of the entire Automated Industry Complex (AIC) can be checked from the PAC's management screen. Try to find an efficient amount of power generation by considering the balance between power supply and consumption.

Turn Off Unnecessary Thermal Banks

Once you've checked the power balance, turn off any unnecessary Thermal Banks. This will prevent wasting resources and allow you to run the power system more efficiently.
