How to Fix Power Shortages

Summary of How to Solve Power Shortages

If you run into an energy shortage in Endfield, you can resolve it by either turning off unnecessary buildings or boosting your grid's total output with Thermal Banks. To power equipment in remote locations, you'll need to bridge the gap by extending your electricity grid from other zones using Relay Towers.

Check The Supply Power from Other Areas

In the beginning, you won't have much electricity to work with, which makes it so easy to experience power shortages, especially if you have too many facilities running at the same time. Since you can't build Thermal Banks right away, try to prioritize only the most important machines in your field so you don't exceed your current power limit.

Get More Electricity by Unlocking Power Supplies

Without a nearby PAC or Sub-PAC, all of your machines will stay offline. To fix this, use Relay Towers to extend your existing energy grid across the field, so you will have a steady supply of power wherever you need to build more machines.

Transport Power with Electric Pylons

Researching Pylon Relaying in Basic AIC II will make Electric Pylons available. In places that lack height or where you cannot install a Relay Tower, use Electric Pylons to generate power.

Unlock Relay Redistribution in Basic AIC III

Unlocking Relay Redistribution in Basic AIC III allows you to supply power over a wide area using a Relay Tower. This can reach areas with insufficient power, potentially resolving the power shortage.

Use Thermal Bank to Increase Power Supply

Unlock and Install "Thermal Bank" in Basic AIC II

Unlocking the Thermal Bank in Basic AIC II allows you to secure a power source separate from power sharing, significantly increasing the factory's maximum power capacity. It is recommended to prioritize unlocking the Thermal Bank after unlocking Basic AIC II.

Energy is Required to Operate a Thermal Bank

Installing a Thermal Bank on the factory site increases the power generation of the PAC. To operate a Thermal Bank, you need Originium Ore or Battery. The battery generates a lot of power and can run the factory efficiently.

Calculate the Production Number of Battery

If you choose to power your machines with batteries, remember that your Thermal Banks will constantly use them up. To prevent a sudden shutdown, ensure your production lines are creating enough batteries to match your total consumption rate.

Continued Power Shortages Will Cause a Power Outage

Restoration Work is Required After A Power Outage

If you install too many facilities for your power supply, you will use up more of your stored energy, and when that runs out, a power outage will occur. If power consumption is exceeded, you must perform restoration work by adding more Thermal Banks or reducing the number of facilities.

Check Power from the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) Screen

You can check the power usage status from the lightning bolt icon above the top-down view of the Automated Industry Complex (AIC). If power consumption exceeds the power supply, the power value will be displayed in red. Check the overall power consumption and production status of the entire Automated Industry Complex (AIC) from the PAC's details screen.

Note!On the PAC screen, you can also check the amount of stored power from the value in the center of the power consumption screen!

Unlocking Conditions for Power Facilities

Summary of Unlocking Conditions for Power Facilities

Basic AIC IIIRelay Redistribution

You can obtain the items needed to raise your Basic AIC level by completing Main Missions. Once a Basic AIC level is unlocked, you can collect Basic AIC Index with a Protocol Datalogger and unlock facilities by researching them.

How to Collect AIC Factory Plan Points

You can obtain points to use in the AIC Factory Plan from a Protocol Datalogger. You don't need to explore to find them; by clicking the icon next to the number of consumed points in the AIC Factory Plan, undiscovered Protocol Dataloggers will be listed under 'How to Obtain.' Click to 'Track' and go get them.

Protocol Datalogger Locations & Map

First, unlock Electricity and Power Relay in the early game

Once you can perform industrial construction with the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), open the AIC Factory Plan and prioritize unlocking 'Electricity' and 'Power Relay' from Basic AIC I. By raising the power usage limit early on, you will be able to use more facilities from the beginning of the game.

Unlock The Thermal Bank and Pylon Relaying

By clearing 'Paving the Way' in Chapter 1 - Process II, you will obtain the item to unlock Basic AIC II. By unlocking Basic AIC II, you can meet the unlocking conditions for Power and 'Pylon Relaying', which can supply even more power.

Pylon Relaying Requires 250 Power Generation

To research Pylon Relaying, your power generation must reach 250. First, learn the basics of Thermal Banks from Power in the Simulation and increase the power generation of your facilities.

Note!By installing one of the power generation facilities you receive from the Thermal Bank Simulation, you can meet the research condition for power generation!

Unlock Relay Redistribution with Basic AIC III

By progressing further in the quests and obtaining the item to unlock Basic AIC III, you can unlock Relay Redistribution. This will allow you to supply power over a wide area using a Relay Tower.
