Sub-DPS That Applies Susceptibility and Incapacitates Enemies

Tangtang is a Sub-DPS who controls the field by applying Cryo with Battle Skills, inflicting Arts Susceptibility, and pausing enemy actions with their Ultimate. The incapacitation effect on the Ultimate is incredibly potent, as it works even on bosses, giving your team a safe window to unleash a flurry of attacks.

Basic Strategy

Apply Cryo to Enemies With Battle Skill

Tangtang's Battle Skill deals Cryo damage to enemies within range. It summons a Waterspout, allowing you to inflict Cryo on multiple targets with a single cast. If multiple Waterspouts are active on the field, an additional effect triggers.

Generate a Whirlpool via Combo Skill

Tangtang's Combo Skill activates when an enemy is afflicted with Cryo or upon an Arts Burst. Using the Combo Skill creates a "Whirlpool," which transforms into a Waterspout when you follow up with a Battle Skill. Since Tangtang applies Cryo natively, they can easily trigger this combo on their own.

Apply Arts Susceptibility and Restore SP

By executing the rotation "Battle Skill → Combo Skill → Battle Skill," the Whirlpool transforms into a Waterspout on the second cast. If multiple Waterspouts are present when you use the Battle Skill, you'll inflict Arts Susceptibility and recover SP.

Incapacitate Enemies With Ultimate

Tangtang's Ultimate forcibly pauses enemies within range. Since this incapacitation works on bosses, use the Ultimate to lock them down, then switch to your other characters to dump their Ultimates safely.

Skill Is Enhanced by a Plunging Attack

If you perform a Plunging Attack with the active character during the Ultimate animation, the Ultimate ends early, but buffs the skill. Skill damage increases and an extra Waterspout is summoned, allowing you to maintain pressure by converting field Whirlpools into Waterspouts.

This is a Solidification build centered on Tangtang. Tangtang pairs well with Yvonne because she benefits from Xaihi's Cryo Amp and can apply Cryo Infliction, making her a strong fit in Yvonne’s team. Use Tangtang’s Ultimate during Yvonne’s Ultimate to lock down enemies, creating a safe window for massive damage.

Basic Combo

Tangtang applies Arts Susceptibility when she consumes Whirlpool. After building Whirlpool with her Battle Skill, following up with her Ultimate to immobilize enemies, even bosses, let your team unleash uninterrupted damage with Yvonne’s Ultimate.

This Cryo team centers on Tangtang’s synergy with Last Rite. Tangtang applies Cryo Infliction with her Battle Skill, making her perfect for stacking the 3-stage Cryo Infliction that Last Rite needs. Use Combo → Battle Skill to apply Arts Susceptibility and maximize damage.

Basic Combo

Apply Cryo Infliction with Xaihi and Last Rite’s Battle Skills → trigger Tangtang’s Combo with Final Strike. Stack Cryo Infliction further with Tangtang’s Battle Skill or Fluorite’s Combo, then follow up with Last Rite’s Combo for massive damage while building Ultimate Energy.

This team uses only beginner-friendly or low-rarity characters, with Tangtang as the core. Beyond Solidification and Originium Crystals, you can immobilize enemies for a long time using Tangtang’s Ultimate, making clears safer and more controlled.

Basic Combo

Apply Cryo Infliction with Tangtang’s Battle Skill → trigger Solidification with Alesh. Follow with Estella → Alesh → Endministrator Combo. Since Tangtang gains Whirlpool when Cryo Infliction is applied, always set up Arts Susceptibility before using her Ultimate for maximum impact.

For alternatives to Brigand's Calling, Home Longing, or Wedge are recommended. Home Longing is a new Pass weapon expected to pair well with Tangtang, coming in second only to Brigand's Calling.

Wedge and Clannibal are solid choices for Arts DPS. Since Tangtang's kit can't activate Clannibal's skill effect, prioritize Wedge over Clannibal.

How to Get Tangtang

Available on March 12

Tangtang is confirmed to arrive alongside the Version 1.1 update, "Old Deep Water Dies by Rising Tide It is Denied." This update launches on March 12 (Server Time), following the end of Yvonne’s banner.

Obtained via Limited Headhunting

Tangtang is a Limited Headhunting character. She is exclusive to the River's Daughter banner and cannot be obtained from Basic or New Horizons Headhunting.
