Terms You Need to Know

What is Originium?

Originium is a high-energy substance that powers most of the technology in Arknights: Endfield. This includes production facilities, miscellaneous daily life tech, and military arsenal.

Oripathy

Oripathy is an incurable disease caused by Originium being absorbed into the body. This can occur through the use of Originium Arts or by inhaling Originium dust, causing Originium to accumulate and multiply within the body. Eventually, the afflicted individual turns into ore, which then shatters and spreads the infection to others.

Originium Arts

This is a general term for techniques that use Originium in combat. Originium Arts is employed by those infected by Oripathy or through Arts Units. It is used in various forms, including direct attacks, healing, and physical enhancements using Originium energy.

Talos-II Moon

Arknights: Endfield is set on the moon Talos-II. It features fertile lands and abundant resources, but is plagued by threats and natural disasters. Much of it remains unexplored.

Terra

Terra is the planet on which the previous Arknights game is set. However, Arknights: Endfield happens in the future, around 100 to 200 years after Arknights. Talos-II has a history of being developed over many generations by teams from Terra.

Endfield Industries

An independent company that heads the exploration and construction efforts in Talos-II. They are among the first to reach Talos-II, and their predecessor was involved in Rhodes Island. The player character, Endministrator, is part of Endfield Industries.

Endministrator

The protagonist and the main player character in Arknights: Endfield. They are tasked with protecting civilization in Talos-II. Although their achievements are widely recognized, they remain a mystery including the reason for their long sleep and ability to control Originium.

Perlica

Perlica is the supervisor of the industrial complex and supports the Endministrator throughout. Her skills and knowledge are extensive, as she is an expert in Techno-Protocol, but she also engages in combat when needed.

Dijiang

Dijiang is a ship that serves as the headquarters of Endfield Industries in Talos-II. It uses the Protocol-Originium at its center to provide support to those on Talos-II's surface, including the Automated Industry Complex (AIC).

Automated Industry Complex (AIC)

The Automated Industry Complex is one of the most important technological contributions of Endfield Industries. It enables the miniaturization and modularization of conventional production equipment, allowing Logistics Connections to be constructed efficiently with minimal personnel.

AIC Factory Beginner Guide

PAC (Protocol Core)

By deploying the PAC, you can provide assistance to the surrounding areas. This facility handles power supply and item management with various Logistic Connections using the AIC.

PAC Locations and How to Move

Aggelos

An Aggelos is a creature that has adapted to the environment to enhance itself. They are extremely hostile and are a threat to humanity. In the past, they were part of the First Aggeloi War.

Ankhor

These unidentified devices appear in the sky and randomly drop across Talos-II, generating Aggeloi from nearby natural materials.

Landbreakers

Landbreakers are those outside of the Civilization Band. They are highly capable of surviving in the harsh wilderness of Talos-II. Most Landbreakers are aggressive and will attack people in settlements.
