How to Get Cuprium Ore

Auto-Mining in Qingbo Stockade

Cuprium Ore can be easily collected in Qingbo Stockade. To automate your mining process here, you'll need to set up Hydro Mining Rigs.

Research the Hydro Mining Rig in the AIC Factory Plan

First, head over to your AIC Factory Plan and unlock 'Hydro Mining' under the Wuling AIC II. Doing this unlocks the blueprint so you can start crafting Hydro Mining Rigs.

Progress the Main Story

Keep in mind that to access Wuling Industry II, you must first clear the Main Story Chapter 2, Process III: 'Surging From a Withered Spring'.

Place Hydro Mining Rigs at Mining Spots

Head back to the Cuprium Ore nodes and set down your Hydro Mining Rigs. You can actually cover every Cuprium Ore spot in Qingbo Stockade using just the 8 free rigs you get from unlocking the node, so there's no need to spend resources crafting extra ones right now.

Supply Water From a Fluid Pump Using Pipes

Unlike standard mining rigs, Hydro Mining Rigs are fueled by water instead of electricity. To get them running, place a Fluid Pump in a nearby water source and connect it to your Hydro Mining Rigs using pipes.

Draw Power for the Pump From Other Areas

Your Fluid Pump will still need electricity to operate. Since you can't place a Sub-PAC in Qingbo Stockade, you must draw power from a neighboring area like Wuling City or Jingyu Valley.

Place Pipe Splitters From the "Facility List"

Using a Pipe Splitter lets you supply water to multiple Hydro Mining Rigs using just one Fluid Pump. Keep in mind that placing them here works a bit differently than in the Core AIC Area.

To set one down, simply select the Pipe Splitter from the 'Facility List' menu located in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Supply 3 Hydro Mining Rigs From 1 Pump

The production rate of Cuprium Ore depends entirely on the node's purity, which also dictates how fast it consumes water.

Even if all your mining spots are high-purity, a single pump can comfortably handle three rigs. To optimize your setup, aim to connect a maximum of 3 Hydro Mining Rigs per pump.

You can find two Cuprium Ore beds in Qingbo Stockade.

Best Spot for Manual Collection

While there are two Cuprium Ore spots in Qingbo Stockade, neither is very close to a teleport point. If you need to collect manually during a power outage, head to the spot northeast of the land bridge to gather a large amount at once.

How to Use Cuprium Ore

Use Refining Unit to Get Cuprium

Cuprium Ore can be processed into the AIC Product, Cuprium, using a Refining Unit. Since Cuprium Ore has no other uses in its raw state, you'll want to process it into Cuprium right away.

Use Fluid Mode

To process Cuprium Ore, you'll need to turn on the Refining Unit's Fluid Mode. You can easily switch the mode using the button in the upper right corner of the details screen.

Craft Items With Cuprium

Cuprium are primarily processed into two items: Cuprium Components and Cuprium Bottles. These are essential for manufacturing products like Cuprium Components, Yazhen Syringe [A], and Jincao Tea.

Use Sewage for Wuling Batteries

Processing Cuprium Ore will also produce Sewage. This Sewage is a vital material for other production lines and can be used to craft items like the SC Wuling Battery.

Maximum Cuprium Ore Yield

Max of Two Mining Locations in Wuling

There are a total of two Cuprium Ore beds in Wuling, which require eight Hydro Mining Rigs. Because you receive eight Hydro Mining Rigs upon unlocking them, you do not need to craft any yourself to fully automate Cuprium Ore collection.

Maximum Acquisition Rate is 120/min

If you place Hydro Mining Rigs at all Cuprium Ore spots in Wuling, the theoretical maximum extraction rate is 120/min. If you are yielding less than this amount, you may have missed a location, so be sure to double-check the Rare Mineral spots on your map.

Check the Mineral Bed's Status

When mining is proceeding normally, the mineral mining spot will display "Mining Rig Active." If this status is missing or shows "Mining Rig Halted," an issue has caused the extraction to stop. In this case, visit the location directly to investigate and resolve the problem.

Regional Development Level Increases Purity

The Cuprium Ore spots in Qingbo Stockade will increase in purity and production rate as your Regional Development Level rises.

Because higher production rates also mean increased water consumption, always check if your Hydro Mining Rigs are operating normally immediately after your Regional Development Level goes up.

How to Unlock Cuprium Ore

You will be able to manually collect Cuprium Ore once you gain access to the Qingbo Stockade area during Main Story Chapter 2, Process III, "Deep in the Mire".

To enable auto-collection, you must clear 'Surging From a Withered Spring' and subsequently unlock Wuling AIC II.
