Let Fire Consume the Ashen Past Walkthrough
- Go to the Stasis Core in the Dijiang
- Investigate the Protocol Singularity
- Investigate the Area and Meet Laevatain
- Fight Laevatain's Illusion
- Return to the Dijiang to Search for Clues
- Enter the Protocol Space to Rescue Her
- Gather Information on Laevatain
- Touch the Protocol Singularity to Witness Memories
- Fight the Final Boss
Go to the Stasis Core in the Dijiang
Head to the Stasis Core and meet Perlica. She will mention that she wants to "check the current memory status."
Investigate the Protocol Singularity
At the Protocol Singularity (where you can normally change your gender), select View then Touch it to begin. A pop-up will appear once the mission starts.
Progress Resets Upon Exit
The warning confirms that this is a long mission and progress resets if you leave. Confirm the prompt to begin the mission.
About 10 Minutes to Return to the Exploration Area
While the full experience (reading the story and exploring) takes about 1 hour, it takes roughly 10 minutes just to return to the exploration area. Ensure you have set aside enough time to play.
Investigate the Area and Meet Laevatain
You will encounter Laevatain in a strange new area, beginning the journey to recover her lost memories. As you explore, she will engage in meaningful conversations that help recall her past.
Check Mission Objectives
Follow Laevatain's guidance and keep an eye on mission objectives, such as using "Scan" to progress.
Fight Laevatain's Illusion
Laevatain's illusion will appear, initiating a battle. Due to the field's special effects, enemies will randomly enter a Solidification state, freezing them briefly. The difficulty is low, so you shouldn't have much trouble here.
Return to the Dijiang to Search for Clues
With Laevatain's aid, the Endministrator escapes the Protocol Space. However, out of concern for her, you decide to return to the Dijiang. A map exploration segment begins as you search for clues.
Enter the Protocol Space to Rescue Her
Perlica speculates that Laevatain has lost her way. You decide to re-enter the Protocol Space to save her. Upon entering, you immediately reunite and join her journey to find her memories.
Battle Begins Immediately
A battle starts right after the cutscene. The enemies aren't strong, but stay alert. You will face several battles with standard monsters during this exploration.
Gather Information on Laevatain
You get separated from Laevatain during the journey. Ask around to gather information on her whereabouts. Once you have gathered enough clues, return to the Stasis Core in the Dijiang.
Touch the Protocol Singularity to Witness Memories
You promise to see the journey through to find Laevatain's memories. Walls will begin closing in, so move quickly to pass through them.
About 30 Minutes to Return to the Exploration Area
Once inside, you cannot return to the exploration area until the final boss is defeated. Expect about 30 minutes of exploration and combat.
Optional Objectives
Optional objectives appear along the way. If you proceed to the next main objective, you cannot backtrack to these, so complete them first if you wish.
Fight the Final Boss
Descend the elevator while fighting off enemies to reach the final battle.

Radio Repair Puzzle Solution
You will need to repair a radio while following Laevatain's clues. Form a rectangle in the center to solve the puzzle.
How to Repair FacilitiesBoss Fight Tips: Focus on Dodging
Dodging is crucial in this battle. Watch for the red glow and effect radius just before an attack, then dodge them carefully.
Avoid Area Attacks
When the battle begins, the camera shifts to a top-down view for an AoE attack. Move outside the red effect radius to avoid damage.
Perfect Dodge the Charge Attack
When the boss curls up, a charge attack is incoming. Aim for a Perfect Dodge timed with the red flash right before it activates.

Dodge the Jump Attack
When the boss uses a high-jump attack (shifting the camera), perform a Perfect Dodge the moment it lands.
Form Change After Jump Attack
After landing, the boss curls up and shifts into a form that emits continuous shockwaves. Deplete its dedicated HP bar to end this form and inflict massive Stagger.
| Tip! | You can jump to avoid the shockwaves. However, the damage is low, so it is often better to ignore them and keep attacking. |

Interrupt Charge Attacks With Skills
If a red circle appears around the boss, it is preparing a charge attack. Hit it with a Battle Skill, Combo Skill, or Ultimate before it activates to interrupt the move.
