How to Promote Characters and increase their Level Caps in Arknights: Endfield. This includes the promotion methods, required materials, and the benefits of promotion in Endfield.
Character Enhancement GuideHow to Promote and Level Caps
Raise the Character's Level to the Current Cap

To Promote, you must first raise the character's level to its current cap. When the level reaches the cap, 'Promote' will be displayed in the bottom right of the screen, allowing you to proceed to the Promotion screen.
Consume Materials to Promote

Promotion requires Protodisks, Mushrooms, T-Creds, and Rare Progression Materials. Once you have all the materials, tap "Promote" in the bottom right of the screen to Promote.
Maximum Level Cap is 90
| Promotion | Level Cap |
|---|---|
| 1st | 40 |
| 2nd | 60 |
| 3rd | 80 |
| 4th | 90 |
There are 4 stages of Promotion, and the level cap can be raised to a maximum of 90.
Exploration Level Also Has a Level Cap

If your Exploration Level is low, you may not be able to level up to the new maximum level even after Promotion. Your Exploration Level can be increased by progressing through the Main Quests.
How to Increase Exploration LevelHow to Get Promotion Materials
| Material | Main Acquisition Method |
|---|---|
| Protodisk | - Protocol Space "Promotion Material" - Exchange at the Acquisition Center |
| Mushrooms (Rare Material) | - Map Foraging - Produce in the Dijiang's Growth Chamber |
| T-Creds | - Various Quests - Daily Rewards - Protocol Space - Exchange at the Acquisition Center |
| Rare Progression Materials *When unlocking Level 90 | - Protocol Space - Crisis Calamity - Exchange at the Acquisition Center |
Protodisks from "Protocol Space - Promotion Material"

To collect Protodisks, the basic method is to farm the Promotion Material stages in "Protocol Space," which requires Sanity (stamina) to challenge. Starting from Lv. 3, you need to choose whether to receive low-rarity or high-rarity materials as rewards, so be careful not to have the wrong one chosen.
Do Not Exchange at the Acquisition Center

Protodisks can also be obtained at the Acquisition Center by exchanging them for "AIC Quota." However, AIC Quota is very valuable, and it's better to prioritize exchanging it for items like HH Permits, so this is not recommended unless you have a large surplus.
Gather or Grow Mushrooms

Zipline to Foraging Spots
The basic way to get mushrooms is by foraging on the map. They respawn after a certain amount of time, so you'll need to repeatedly visit the foraging spots. Setting up a Zipline Pylon can significantly reduce travel time to these spots.
Automatic Production

Mushrooms can also be produced in the Dijiang's Growth Chamber. Once set up, they will be produced automatically over time. Use this when you don't have enough Promotion materials from foraging alone.
T-Creds from Quest Rewards

T-Creds can be obtained from various quest rewards, dailies, and more. They are easy to collect, but they are also used for leveling up characters and enhancing weapons, so you'll need a lot. Make sure to actively collect them.
Rare Progression Materials
When unlocking the level 90 cap, you will need the corresponding "Rare Progression Materials" for that character. These can be obtained from Protocol Space and Acquisition Center.
Benefits of Promotion
- Increases character level cap
- Increases Combat Skill level cap
- Unlocks new Talents
- Allows equipping higher rarity Gear
Increases Character Level Cap
When you Promote a character, their level cap increases. Leveling up a character significantly improves their stats, making it easier to take on more difficult stages.
Increases Combat Skill Level Cap

Promotion also increases the level cap for Combat Skills. Increasing a skill's level provides effects such as increased damage, so don't forget to enhance your skill levels after Promotion.
Unlocks New Talents

Promotion unlocks new Talents, which can enhance specific stats or grant passive skills. However, some Talents require a certain level of Trust in addition to the Promotion stage to be unlocked.
Allows Equipping Higher Rarity Gear

There are restrictions on the rarity of Gear you can equip depending on your level cap break stage. By Promoting and unlocking certain passives, you can equip higher rarity Gear.
