Levels 1-3 Increase by Progressing the Main Story

Your Exploration Level in Endfield will increase from 1 to 3 by progressing through the main story. At Exploration Level 1, the character level cap is stuck at 30, so if you want to level up your characters, you should prioritize advancing the main quests.

Clear Trial from Exploration Level 3 Onward

From Exploration Level 3, trials will appear while progressing through the main quest. Clearing them will raise your Exploration Level.

The character level cap is determined by your Exploration Level. If you want to raise your characters' levels beyond the cap, you must first raise your Exploration Level.

Increased Max Spawns of Rare Growths/Rare Minerals

There are collection points for rare materials scattered across the field, which are needed to enhance characters through actions like Promotion, skill enhancements, and weapon tuning. Raising your Exploration Level increases their spawn count. These materials take time to respawn, so be sure to collect them consistently.

Increased EXP and Valley Stock Bill Gains

In exchange for enemies becoming stronger, the amount of Valley Stock Bills and EXP dropped by them increases. Valley Stock Bills are required for expanding the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), crafting and leveling up gears.

You Can Lower Your Exploration Level

If you are struggling in combat because enemies are too strong, it is possible to lower your Exploration Level. You can raise it back at any time, but once you lower it, you cannot lower it again for 24 hours. Higher Difficulties for Protocol Space/RE-Crisis/Energy Alluvium

New difficulty levels will be added for Protocol Space, RE-Crisis, and Energy Alluvium. You can get better rewards by completing them.

You should also produce the materials needed to enhance characters and weapons. In addition to the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), also level up the Dijiang's Manufacturing Cabin as much as possible to prepare a production system for Progression Materials.

How to Lower Your Exploration Level and Its Benefits

Lowering the Exploration Level from the Menu

You can lower your Exploration Level by going to Menu → Exploration Level, then confirming in the "Adjust Exploration Level" pop-up. You can raise your Exploration Level back at any time.

Lowering It Again After Reverting

Once you lower your Exploration Level, you must wait 24 hours before you can lower it again. Be aware that you cannot repeatedly raise and lower it in a short amount of time.
