This is a guide on the Protocol Automated Core (PAC) in Arknights: Endfield. Read on to see recommended blueprints for the PAC, as well as how to use, and how to move the PAC.

PAC Locations and Unlocks
Valley IV PAC in The Hub
The Valley IV PAC is located on the northern side of 'The Hub'. It is the first base
unlocked as you progress through the story.
Wuling PAC in Wuling City
The Wuling PAC is located on the northern side of the Wuling City region. To unlock it, you need to enter Wuling, unlock the second area, and then proceed further in the story.
Multiple Sub-PACs
There is only one PAC per region, but multiple Sub-PACs are scattered across different areas within a region.
How to Move the PAC
Moved from Protocol Management
You can move the PAC by approaching it and selecting "Protocol Management" → "Move." Properly repositioning the PAC can give you more options for building production lines.
Use of the Top View is Recommended

If you need to relocate your PAC after setting up facilities, you will likely need to reorganize your entire production line. To streamline this process, use the Top View function, as it provides a full layout overview and allows quick facility adjustments.

Best Blueprints for the PAC
Re-usable Production Lines
Since the PAC is typically visited more often than the Sub-PACs, we recommend using setups that serve multiple purposes.
For example, both Amethyst Parts and Ferrium Parts use the Refining Unit → Fitting Unit chain, differing only in the final output material.
In this setup, keep the Refining Unit → Fitting Unit in your main PAC for flexible adjustments, and assign fully automated production lines to Sub-PACs that require minimal supervision.

These are Blueprints for production items that are often set up, dismantled, or require micro-adjustments according to story and character progression.
How to Use the PAC and Key Points
Operates Facilities and Supplies Power
The main roles of the PAC are to build automated production lines and supply power. To build an efficient production line, you should check the production status and power report from within the "Protocol Management" screen.

Requires Use of the Output Ports
A production line using the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) is not complete until you've supplied raw materials to create the desired items. To operate most facilities, you need to set items in the PAC's Output Ports.
Depot Buses Add Output Ports

With a Depot Bus, you can manufacture Depot Loaders and Depot Unloaders, allowing you to retrieve and transport items from your local depot. This is essential for creating complex production lines since the PAC only has a limited amount of Output Ports.
Check Power in AIC Mode
You can check your Power Output by switching from Exploration to AIC Mode. If your active facilities exceed the available Power Output, the PAC will draw from its reserves until it triggers a power outage, halting automated manufacturing. Monitor your Power Output regularly to prevent downtime.
Expand Bases with Stock Bills

You can expand the AIC Area using each region's Stock Bills from the AIC Steward. Expand when you feel limited by the number of facilities you can place. You must progress the story to unlock this.

Review the Sizes of Blueprints
When sharing or importing Blueprints made by others, pay attention to the size of their layouts. If the Blueprint is too large, it may not fit in your base.
How to Increase Power Output
Install Thermal Banks

To increase the Power Output of a PAC or Sub-PACs, you need to install Thermal Banks. These are then supplied with either Originium Ores or Batteries. Batteries have better fuel efficiency, so once you can produce them, try to use the highest grade possible.
