Another Wave Comes Crashing In Walkthrough

Go to Wuling City and Read Tangtang's Message

Teleport to Wuling City and read the message waiting for you from Tangtang. She wants you to pick up a thank-you gift she's left with Qingwu, a box of Tangtang Certs. Simple enough, in theory.

Go to Qingwu's Place

Head north through the city following the location marker. Qingwu is in a narrow alleyway behind a bush, waiting with the gift box. She seems distracted. Something about her being in Wuling City at all doesn't quite add up.

Take the Tangtang Certs

Interact with the gift to pick it up. This triggers Immersion Mode as Tangtang and some of your normal features will be restricted for the remainder of this section. As it turns out, Tangtang has been running her own investigation into Ruan Yi's loyalists who've infiltrated Wuling City, and you've just walked into the middle of it.

Immersion Mode

Immersion Mode lets you step into Tangtang’s shoes for the majority of this mission. You’ll be able to switch back as the Endministrator once the canal section begins.

Enter the Residential Area

Head up the stairs to enter the residential area. Tangtang is looking for any sign of the loyalists moving through the city.

Look Around for Ruan Yi's Loyalists

Climb another flight of stairs and head down toward the burdenbeasts. There's an old lady to your left, approach her and ask if she's seen anyone suspicious nearby. She has something to say.

Go to Fangxing Avenue

Follow the marker to Fangxing Avenue. Tangtang surveys the street and spots a man standing alone. He looks like a reasonable target to question.

Continue Looking Around for Ruan Yi's Loyalists

Approach the Troubled Tianshi and ask him about suspicious activity. He promptly calls for a watchguard. Tangtang disappears before anyone can ask why she's here. She then finds Ah Zai nearby and tries the same approach. Ah Zai misreads the situation entirely and thinks the Endministrator is the one in trouble. It's a very Tangtang sequence of events.

Qingwu then calls with a lead as she reports a gang moving through the area with some luggage. The trail points toward the Underground Canal near the Bureau of Swordmancers.

Go to the Underground Canal Near the Bureau of Swordmancers

Head northwest up the stairs toward the canal.

Enter the Underground Canal

As you descend into the canal, investigate the scattered wrapping paper on the ground before doing anything else. Then open the door ahead. Inside, the loyalists have planted explosives. Tangtang calls for backup and runs into Mi Fu and the Endministrator just outside. Immersion Mode ends here.

Disarm the Bomb

Back as the Endministrator, head into the canal and interact with the bomb. You’ll need to solve an Originium Repair Module puzzle to disarm it. Refer to the image below for the puzzle solution:

Talk to Mi Fu

Once the bomb is disarmed, Tangtang thanks Endmin for the assist. After that, you'll head back into the city to talk to Mi Fu and update her on the situation in the canal. It seems the remaining loyalists are about to become a bigger problem.
