Building an Outpost Walkthrough

Head Outside and Speak With Soth

After the quest, "Secure Sanctuary", the next quest, Building an Outpost will immediately start. Leave the shelter and approach Soth. The conversation will trigger automatically as you get close.

Defeat 7 Landbreakers

To secure a home for Soth and his group, you'll need to retake their outpost that's currently being occupied by Landbreakers. Defeat all 7 of them.

Place the Sub-PAC and Build an Outpost

Move to the objective marker. Once you arrive, Perlica will deploy a Sub-PAC for you, granting you the ability to build structures in the surrounding area.

Follow the Tutorial to Refine Origocrust

After receiving Wulfgard's report, you need to prepare your defenses. But first, follow the Automated Logistics tutorial to set up an Origocrust production line. If done correctly, this production line will automatically process raw materials and deposit the finished product into the depot.

Unlock Automation with Transport Belts

This mission unlocks Transport Belts, which are key to industrial automation. Efficiency and automation are everything in Endfield, so use this opportunity to get comfortable with building automated lines.

Construct a Gun Tower Using Origocrust

Once you have harvested 30 Origocrust, follow the instructions to construct a Gun Tower. This unlocks Combat Facilities, which allows you to deploy defensive structures to aid you in battle and defend your outposts.

Deploy Gun Towers at the Marked Location

Take your newly crafted Gun Towers and place them on the marked locations. Pay attention to the Combat Facilities tutorial that appears here, since it covers the essential mechanics for base defense.

Place an Electric Pylon to Power the Towers

Gun Towers need juice to run. Place an Electric Pylon as indicated, then run a power cable from the Sub-PAC to the Pylon. Once connected, the Gun Towers will come online and be ready for combat.

Repel the Landbreakers Using Gun Towers

After a quick chat with Soth, a large wave of Landbreakers will swarm the area. Don't panic, your Gun Towers will provide heavy fire support. Lure enemies into range and wipe them out.

Complete a Trade via Regional Development System

After repelling the Landbreaker attack, you'll unlock the Regional Development System. This feature lets you trade materials for Stock Bills and earn rewards depending on your base's development level. Complete the tutorial and trade Origocrust to proceed.

Talk to Soth and Follow Daniel

Return to Soth to trigger a conversation, then follow Daniel into the underground ventilation tunnel. From this point on, you can access Regional Development System anytime by talking to Soth.

Enter Protocol Space

While following Daniel, you'll discover a Protocol Space. This fracture in space-time allows you to spend Sanity to farm EXP items. You'll return here often to grind for materials. For now, complete the "Level 1: Derivative Memories" to finish the Building an Outpost quest.
