How to Get Ferrium and Auto-Mining
[Early Game] Auto-Mining at Originium Science Park
- Research Mining III in the Basic AIC Plan
- Attack Nodes West of Originium Science Park
- Craft Electric Mining Rig II for Automation
- Place Electric Mining Rig II at West Ferrium Nodes
- Head to the Cliff in Originium Science Park
- Place a Relay Tower at the Cliff and Start Wiring
- Return to the Infra-Station via TP to Supply Power
- Power the Mining Rig with an Electric Pylon
To gather Ferrium Ore more effectively in the early game, we recommend setting up automated mining at Originium Science Park. Automation requires Electric Mining Rig II.

First, unlock the Research requirement for the Electric Mining Rigs Mk II, which is located at the far left of your Basic AIC Plan. Once the Basic AIC III is upgraded, you will be able to research the Mining III, which will be a huge boost for your production.

Ferrium Ore becomes available at the Mineral spot on the west side of Originium Science Park. However, it cannot be mined using earlier Electric Mining Rigs, so attack and destroy the Ferrium Ore node to manually obtain at least 10 Ferrium Ore. This is required to craft Electric Mining Rig II.

Once you have unlocked Mining III at the Basic AIC Plan, you will be able to unlock the Electric Mining Rig Mk II. You will need 1x Portable Originium Rig and 10x Ferrium Parts to construct it.
Ferrium Parts can be obtained by refining mined Ferrium Ore into Ferrium in a Refining Unit, and then processing the Ferrium with a Fitting Unit.

Return to the Ferrium Ore spot and deploy the crafted Electric Mining Rig II. Once powered with an Electric Pylon, it will automatically mine Ferrium Ore, allowing you to mass-produce additional Electric Mining Rig II units and deploy them at other Ferrium Ore spots.
It's recommended to route power from the Hub Base. This can also be done after unlocking the sub-PAC through main mission progression, but that requires a slight detour.

The next Ferrium Ore spot is located near the center of the map. Progress through the main mission and proceed to the Rare Mineral mining spot beyond the cliff.

A reliable method is to extend cables from the Hub Base to supply power to this area. If you have already progressed through the missions and unlocked the sub-PAC at the Infra-Station, there is a more convenient option. Place a Relay Tower as close to the cliff's edge as possible, then begin routing power lines.

With the transmission cable in hand, teleport straight to the Infra-Station. If you have placed the Relay Tower correctly within range, you will still be able to hold the transmission cable after teleporting. Go ahead and complete the connection to the sub-PAC.

Once the power is connected, setting up a Zipline Pylon to travel back and forth from the top of the cliff will greatly improve convenience.

If your Sub-PAC is outside the Relay Pylon’s range, move it closer to the cliff or place an Electric Pylon between them to link the Relay Pylon to the Electric Pylon, then to the Sub-PAC.
If the power line transfer is successful, electricity will be supplied from the sub-PAC across the cliff, which eliminates the need to extend power lines all the way from the Hub Base. Place an Electric Pylon and a mining rig to begin extraction.
Best Ferrium Ore Locations & Routes
Best Ferrium Ore Spots in the Valley
| Hub Base | Originium Science Park |

Ferrium Ore can be obtained by collecting it from Ferrium Ore Beds.
During Power Outage, Gather in Power Plateau
The Ferrium Ore spot near the main road in Power Plateau is recommended due to its proximity to a fast travel point. If a Zipline Pylon is set up, the Ferrium Ore spot near the Core AIC Area is also a good option.
Unlock Hub Base via Main Mission

There is a Ferrium Ore mining spot northwest of the Hub Base, but it is inaccessible early game due to a fence. The fence is removed after progressing the main mission to Originium Science Park, so continue advancing the main story.
Northwest Power Plateau Opens in Wulfgard's Mission

The northwest area of Power Plateau is not visited during the main mission. Completing Wulfgard's event mission clears the fog, granting access to the Ferrium spot.
Main Ferrium Ore Location in Wuling

Currently, the only Ferrium Ore location in Wuling is north of Wuling City. It is required for crafting items such as the Yazhen Syringe, so be sure to deploy an Electric Mining Rig II.
How to Use Ferrium Ore
Turned into Ferrium in a Refining Unit

Ferrium Ore can be refined into the AIC Product Ferrium using a Refining Unit. Since Ferrium Ore (Natural Resource) has no other use, prioritize processing it into Ferrium.
Use Ferrium to Craft Components and More
The main uses for Ferrium are Ferrium Components, Ferrium Bottles, Ferrium Parts, and Ferrium Powder. It also supports crafting recovery items, HC Valley Batteries, and manufacturing facilities, so deploy Electric Mining Rig II accordingly.
How to Craft GearWhat is the Max Amount of Ferrium Bed?
Mined at up to 16 Locations in Valley IV
| Area | No. of Ferrium Bed | Electric Mining Rig II Req. |
|---|---|---|
| Hub Base | 1 Location | 2 Rigs |
| Originium Science Park | 3 Locations | 13 Rigs |
| Origin Lodespring | 6 Locations | 18 rRigs |
| Power Plateau | 6 Locations | 21 Rigs |
| Total | 16 Locations | 54 Rigs |
There are 16 Ferrium Ore locations in Valley IV. With 54 Electric Mining Rig IIs, you can cover all Ferrium Beds.
Only 1 Location in Wuling
| Area | No. of Ferrium Bed | Electric Mining Rig II Req. |
|---|---|---|
| Wuling City | 1 Location | 6 Rigs |
There is only 1 Ferrium Ore spot in Wuling. With 6 Electric Mining Rig IIs, you can cover the spot.
Maximum Yield in Valley IV is 1080

If you deploy Electric Mining Rig II at all Ferrium Ore spots in Valley IV, the theoretical maximum yield is 1080. If your total is lower, you may have missed some Ferrium Bed. Check the Ferrium clusters on the map.
Check if Ferrium Rig is Powered

If mining is functioning correctly, the Mineral Bed will be labeled 'Rig Powered'. If it is unlabeled or shows 'Rig is Unpowered', mining is inactive, so visit the location and inspect the setup.
Regional Development Level Increases Purity

Some mineral veins on the map are unformed, and in these cases, you cannot place a mining rig. By raising the Regional Development Level, these veins will mature, allowing mining rigs to be deployed.
Maximum Yield in Wuling is 90

If you deploy Electric Mining Rig II at all Ferrium Ore spots in Wuling, the theoretical maximum yield is 90. If your total is lower, check the Rare Mineral clusters north of Wuling City.
Add 25 per Minute with Regional Transfer

When Valley IV's Regional Development Level reaches 12, Metastorage is unlocked. Using it, you can transport 1,500 Ferrium Ore per hour, which is effectively 25 per minute.
How to Unlock Ferrium Ore
| Unlock Condition | After Starting Process III |
|---|
When you arrive at Originium Science Park, Ferrium Ore will be scattered across the area. In the story, this occurs immediately after the start of Process III.
