Go Further Into Qingbo Stockade

The mission begins the moment you pass through the gate at the end of Deep in the Mire. Activate the TP Point just ahead to secure fast travel.

Open Sluice Gate to Adjust the Water Level

Head toward the bridge and open the Sluice Gate to lower the water level on the path behind you. Once the water drains and the way is clear, descend the stairs to continue.

Go Further Into Qingbo Stockade

Take the rope back up to the level of the rotating bridge. Two Stockaders emerge from barrels: Rusty Hook and Iron Boatswain. They've been hiding here and want out of the stockade in exchange for their escape, so they offer to help you figure out how to get the bridge working again.

Rotate the Bridge to Create a Path

The bridge is misaligned and needs to be rotated into position using three wheel mechanisms, each sprayed with the Jet Drone.

How to Shift Qingbo Stockade Bridge
First wheel: Right in front of you on this side of the bridge. Spray it to rotate the bridge toward the far end.
Second wheel: Cross to the other side and spray the mechanism on your left. The bridge shifts again.
Third wheel: Head back to Rusty Hook's side and spray the wheel directly beneath him. This final rotation locks the bridge into the correct position.

Keep Ferrium Bottles Topped Up

The Jet Drone runs on Ferrium Bottles filled with Clean Water. To top up, just interact with the supply crates scattered throughout Qingbo Stockade..

Go Deeper Into Qingbo Stockade and Find Tangtang

Cross the aligned bridge and push deeper into the stockade. Stockader enemies guard the path, so you'll need to fight through them as you go. Two more wheel mechanisms come up along the way:

Lower Drawbridges
Wheel on the roof: Take the rope up to a platform above and spray it. This opens the gate on the floor below.
Enter the new area and defeat the Stockaders inside, then take two left turns past them to find the next wheel mechanism.

Lower the Bridge

Use the Jet Drone to spray the next wheel mechanism. The bridge lowers, but only partway. There's a second wheel at the far end. Spray it too to drop the connecting section and complete the crossing.

Defeat the Enemies

One of the Stockaders calls for backup. Defeat all five enemies that come out. These stockaders are all driven by a grudge against Wuling City and have no intention of standing down. After the fight, you learn that traitors have blocked the path ahead, but you'll need to find Tangtang first.

Rest and Recuperate

The Jet Drone runs on Ferrium Bottles filled with Clean Water. To top up, just interact with the supply crates scattered throughout Qingbo Stockade..

Find Tangtang

Head northeast across the bridge with Waterbell. As she pulls trapped Stockaders out of harm's way, take the elevator up. Step on the elevator and spray the wheel mechanism to raise it. Take the next elevator and spray its wheel too, then head up the stairs from the top platform. From there, you catch a glimpse of Ruan Yi being led by Ardashir toward the Ancestral Spring.

Rescue Tangtang

Take the north bridge and make two right turns past the Stockaders to reach the room she's being held in. Head down the stairs and take the next flight to the right. Interact with the cage to wake her up. You'll get a glimpse of Tangtang's memories.

Catch Up to Ardashir and Ruan Yi

Tangtang wants to go after Ruan Yi, and you'll offer assistance. This part of the mission involves riding waterwheels to get across.

Follow the forest trail until you set upon a Rakerbeast along with two Stockaders. Defeat them, then continue towards the building ahead.

The team finally catches up to Ardashir and Ruan Yi at the far side. But Ruan Yi destroys the bridge before Tangtang can come close.

Talk to Tangtang and Mi Fu

Speak to both Tangtang and Mi Fu. Mi Fu leaves to handle her responsibilities and asks you to look after Tangtang. Despite what just happened, Tangtang isn't ready to give up on her brother.

Go to the Ancestral Spring

Cross the makeshift bridge over the water and hop across the lily pads. The path to the Ancestral Spring has more enemies and more wheel mechanisms. It's a longer walk than it sounds, but the route is simple enough, and all you have to do is spray and advance.

How to Go to the Ancestral Spring
Two-wheel gate: The path is blocked. If you're out of spray ammo, check the nearby supply crate for Ferrium Bottles, then spray both wheels to open the gate.
Cross the bridge and turn right to find the group waiting in the area. Defeat them.
First and second platform wheels: Head east to the next wheel and spray it to raise a platform beneath the water, letting you reach the lily pads. Step on the first pad and spray the second wheel ahead to raise another platform on the far side.
Third and fourth platform wheels: Spray the wheels in succession to get across. There's an optional one here if you want to get the Aurylene.
Elevator wheel: Step on the elevator and spray the wheel to ride it up. Follow the path until you find Waterbell passed out.

Walk with Tangtang through the final stretch to the Ancestral Spring. She questions the reason behind his brother's betrayal. For now, she doesn't have answers. Reach the TP Point to end the quest.
