Nasty Plot And Max Airstream

This particular build is focused on using Max Airstream while Dynamaxed for the speed boost. After Dynamax ends, it has the option of taking out major threats with Nasty Plot. Of the entire Rotom line, only Fan Rotom is able to use flying moves, so it's good to take advantage of the access to Max Airstream.

Recover HP With A Sitrus Berry

The Sitrus Berry in this build is there to let you survive until you get your Airstream speed boost in order to sweep. It can also throw off your opponent's calculations if they're not expecting it.

Choice Scarf and Timid Is A Good Pair

This build focuses on speed & can opt to use a Choice Scarf to ensure it goes first. Doing so will allow you to outspeed a non-Scarfed Dragapult & Galarian Darmanitan. Scarf variants can also get the pre-emptive strike with Volt Switch, allowing you to change Pokemon with ease while applying pressure.

Trick A Choice Item On A Sweeper

With particularly troublesome physical attackers, a quick Trick will prove to be useful in crippling them. As an alternative, you could use Will-o-Wisp here as well.

How To Play Against Fan Rotom

Use Rock and Ice Moves

Fan Rotom's only weaknesses are Rock and Ice, so try to bring those types against it. A particularly good strategy is to bring a Rock type, use Max Rockfall to summon a Sandstorm and get its 50% Special Defens eboost.

Weak Against Physical Tanks

Most of Fan Rotom's attacks are Physical moves, which can be countered with Physical tanks. Moves like Will-o-Wisp or Burn effect from Scald can take it down with ease.

Don't Use Ground Moves

With other Rotom, the ability Mold Breaker can break through Rotom's Levitate and cause it to take super effective damage. With Fan Rotom, however, this is not possible, as it gets a natural immunity to ground from its Flying typing. Watch out for this if you're using Haxorus or Mold Breaker Excadrill.
