The following is just our speculation about what Pokemon Nessa will use! Once the game is released, this information will be updated with her real Pokemon!

Who Is Nessa?

Water Specialist

Nessa

Nessa is said to be a trainer who is calm, but also has a competitive side. She is strong-willed and uses Water-type Pokemon to battle.

What Do We Know?

Drednaw Confirmed

Drednaw

The official website page on Nessa shows a picture of a level 24 Drednaw. This confirms both that she has a Drednaw, and that she is one of the earlier Gym Leaders!

Drednaw

Drednaw is a Water/Rock type with two possible abilities. Strong Jaw and Shell Armor. Strong Jaw increases the ability of biting moves by 50%. Shell Armor is a more defensive ability that prevents critical hits.

Pokemon Nessa Might Use

Milotic

Milotic

Milotic is a very strong Pokemon with high Special Defense and Special Attack. It has access to the powerful water move Water Pulse, which can deal a lot of damage.

Wailmer

Wailmer

Since Nessa seems like a Gym Leader from the early part of the game, it would be too early for her to have a Wailord. Still, at this level a Wailmer can be quite strong, with its 130 HP and 70 Special Attack stats, and access to Water Pulse.

Wishiwashi

Wishiwashi

Wishiwashi gains use of its Schooling ability at level 20, allowing it to gain incredible offensive stats. With access to the move Brine, it can deal extremely deadly damage, although it is rather frail.

Mantine

Mantine

Mantine is a very good Pokemon with very high Special Defense and good health. It also has access to Water Pulse, as well as other Flying-type moves.

Many Other Possible Pokemon

There are many other Water Pokemon which will appear in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so this is just one possible set of Pokemon she could use.
