Exp Candy is an item that awards Exp points to your Pokemon when used by them! Exp Candy comes in different sizes and will award differing values of Exp depending on the size of the candy used.

The Lucky Egg is a held item that increases the amount of exp gained by your Pokemon. Despite this, using Exp Candies on a Pokemon holding the Lucky Egg will not increase the amount of Exp given by the candies.

Effect Does Not Stack With Traded Pokemon

Traded Pokemon will earn more Exp when compared to Pokemon that you've caught through normal means. Despite this, they will not earn extra Exp from the candies.

Why Level Up Pokemon?

Make Pokemon Stronger

It is best to level up your Pokemon since leveling up will increase their stats, allow them to learn new moves, and helps them get stronger! Certain Pokemon can also evolve by leveling up!

Unlock Hyper Training

Making a Pokemon reach level 100 will make that Pokemon eligible for Hyper Training. For some Bottle Caps, Hyper Training will allow you to max out the IVs of a Pokemon!

Collect Gym Badges to Get 5 Star Raids

Max Raid Battles with a rating of 5 stars will only appear once you've defeated all Gym Leaders, and have collected all 8 Gym Badges.

Get Exp Candies From the Battle Cafe

Get Exp Candies From the Battle Cafe

The Battle Cafe is a location where you can fight the man in the counter once per day. Defeating him will reward you with an item! The rewards are random, but there is a chance for you to receive Exp Candies from him!

Get Candies From Wild Area NPC

Get Candies From Wild Area NPC

You can find an NPC in the Wild Area that will reward you with a random items in exchange for 100 Watts. You can find him in different locations as he moves around from time to time. One of the items that he gives you can be Exp Candies!
