A Tool For Faster Movement
A staple of most Pokemon games, the bike makes a return in Sword and Shield. It allows you to move significantly faster than normal. It is especially important when traversing the Wild Area.

The bike can be activated by pressing the + button on your controller. You can dismount by pressing it one more time. And of course, the bike cannot be used inside buildings!
Press B To Boost
Pressing the B button while riding your bike will give you a significant speed increase for a short while. Afterwards, this ability will go on cooldown, but the cooldown time can be reduced via upgrades. You will hear an audio cue when the ability is ready to use again!
Wear A Uniform - Outfit Color Change
While riding your bike, your appearance will also change. This bike riding uniform can also be customized by talking to Watt Traders. They will change your uniform color to match the type of the Pokemon in the first slot of your party!

Unlock After The First Gym
You will unlock the bike by progressing through the game's story. When crossing the bridge heading to Nessa's Gym, you will have to fight a few members of Team Yell. After defeating them, you will be awarded the Rotom Bike.

Ride On Water Upgrade
This upgrade allows you to ride your bike on water! It fulfills the function that Surf used to in previous games. It can be obtained by battling Team Yell on Route 9 (after defeating the 6th Gym).

By talking to Watt Traders across the Wild Area, you can upgrade your bike a total of three times. Each upgrade will reduce the cooldown on the Turbo function.

Rotom Rally Guide
Bike Around The Wild Area And Earn Watts
You can also play a small minigame using the Rotom Bike where you must travel from point A to point B within a time limit. If you complete the race, you will gain Watts! This minigame is repeatable, so you could use it to farm Watts!
