The large mechanized toad in the middle of the Training Area will respond to your attacks, allowing you to get a better grasp on hunting monsters mechanics. For example, enough damage to its head will cause it to be "stunned".
Target Practice For Long-Range Users

For long-range weapons users, the training ground has a number of moving and static targets that you can use for practice. They have different patterns and speeds to further hone your skills.
Try Out Artillery Weapons

There are mounted weapons inside the training area that you can also use. They have a fixed position so you'll need to get to their areas to be able to use them.
Practice With Palamutes

Palamutes will join you whenever you head to the Training Area. With them there, you can see how they attack and how they adjust to you when you are in hunts.
