Sub Camps - How To Find

Find Camp Locations
Every map will have one or two specific camp locations. Some places can only be accessed by using the Wirebug so they might not be in completely obvious places.
Get Quests In The Village
When you find a camp and return to the village, you'll be able to get a quest from Kagero! Speak with him and complete the contents of his quest - it's usually to defeat minor monsters or gather two types of items.
Recommended To Go On A Specific Monster Slaying Quest
If your request requires you to defeat smaller monsters, we recommend to go on a hunting quest for that particular monster. They'll appear in larger numbers than usual, making it easier to find them.
Complete The Quest And Return To The Village
Once you've completed the requirements of the quest, head back to the village and speak to Kagero. You'll gain access to the camp upon completing the quest!

Climb Up The Cliff In Area 10
The Shrine Ruins sub camp is located high up on a cliff in area 10. To reach it, you'll have to do a bit of climbing! Climbing from the left side of the cliff as indicated above seems to be the best way to get up there.

Things You Can Do In Sub Camps

Can Use The Item Box
It's possible to use the item box even at Sub-Camps. You can use this to arrange your inventory or even change equipment. It's also possible to fast travel and eat at these locations, so make sure to use these when you're in need of rest!
Can't Deliver Items
Your sub-camp does not have the ability to deliver items - that will still need to be carried out from your main camp, so be careful.
Start Location Is Fixed
In Monster Hunter World it was possible to set a sub-camp as you start location, but this is no longer the case in Monster Hunter Rise! You will always start at your main camp this time around.
