January 7th Release - Limited Time
Monster Hunter Rise's demo version was announced to release on January 7th. As of 6:30 am PST, we haven't been able to download it from the store yet, so keep checking all day! The demo will be available for a limited time only, until February 1st! Make sure to try it out ASAP!

New Monster: Magnamalo
Magnamalo, the Flagship Monster of Monster Hunter Rise, is a fearsome beast with a body enveloped in a thick, near unbreakable carapace. We can expect it to attack the player with its tail, and with a lethal poisonous gas.

Use Wirebug To Mount Monsters
Although you'll need to meet a certain unspecified set of requirements first to do so, you will eventually be able to mount monsters! By using the Wirebug you'll be able to ride a monster - you can even manipulate it into attacking other monsters for you!

Base - Kamura Village
Training Area
The training area is a portion of Kamura village where you'll be able to engage in practice battles to try out your various weapons! Head here to hone your skills before using a new weapon against real monsters.

Fugen
Fugen is the leader of Kamura village. He is widely respected by all villagers, and is a powerful warrior to boot.
Minoto & Hinoa
Minoto and Hinoa are the village "quest hub" maidens. They are twins whose beautiful singing brings solace and respite to the people of Kamura village.
Yomogi
Yomogi is a cheerful young girl who is in charge of the village Tea shop.
Hojo
Hojo is the oldest person in the village, and also acts as a Guild Master. He is responsible for quests you'll see on the quest board!
Master Utsushi
This mask wearing young man is the head of the hunters of the village.
Iori
Iori is in charge of Buddies in the village, meaning he'll likely help provide you with a Palamute or Palico of your own!
Kogarashi
Kogarashi is, despite his stature, somewhat intimidating. He's also in charge of the "Meowcenaries", presumably a group of feline mercenaries. Perhaps they'll be for hire?
Rondine
Rondine is a trader from a faraway land, and she'll likely offer you rare goods for trade!
