Budding Talents are skills marked in character skills lists by three stars. These skills, although at first a weakness for characters, can become strengths for them when unlocked!

When you unlock a Budding Talent, you will also unlock a new skill for that character. There's a different one per character and it's not indicated before you get it.

Not All Characters Have Budding Skills

Going through character skills lists, you may notice that some have budding talents and some do not. This means that only a few select characters have a chance of unlocking budding talents.

Train the Skill to Reach a Specific Level

The only way you can unlock the Budding Talent is by allowing your students to train in that field. Not all Budding Talents unlock in the same amount of time so you'll have to observe it.

Budding Talents Unlock When You Get 3 Gold Stars

Budding Talents cannot be done in a single session alone. It will take a few weeks to fill up the first star and months even to completely fill all three.

Goals is a passive and sure way for characters to build weak skills without having the disadvantage in combat. Assign Budding Talents as secondary skills for characters to practice during Lesson Plans.

Focus in Instruct Sessions

You can also opt to train them in their budding talents during your one-on-one sessions. This gives you the freedom to keep using their strong skills in battle.
