Uses of the Blacksmith
Forge & Repair Weapons Using The Blacksmith
With the Blacksmith, you can upgrade existing weapons intro stronger versions of themselves. You can also task the Blacksmith to repair any of your weapons with low durability instead of buying your units new weapons!
Requires Smithing Stones To Forge and Repair
Along with Gold, the Blacksmith will require you to have Smithing Stones in order for you to forge and repair weapons. Get Smithing Stones by picking them up while exploring the Monastery, Group Task rewards, and from the Southern or Eastern merchants.
Cost To Repair Is The Same No Matter Durability
The cost of repairing your weapons is constant no matter the durability of said weapon. This means that you should try to use the most out of your weapon before repairing them since you need only a set amount of Smithing Stones for repair.
Forging Weapons Also Repairs Them
If you plan on upgrading a weapon, the Blacksmith will also automatically repair it for you, hitting two birds with one (smithing) stone!
Umbral Steel Required to Repair Sword of the Creator
The Blacksmith will not be able to repair the Sword of the Creator using Smithing Stones. You will need Umbral Steel in order to repair the weapon. You can get these materials by completing Rare Monster Sighting events.
Resting Also Repairs Sword of the Creator
Alternatively, if you do not have any Umbral Steel to repair your weapon, you can instead choose to Rest on one of your Free Days. Take note that this will only regenerate 5 durability for the weapon.

Marketplace
While exploring the Monastery on your Free Times, you will be able to find the Blacksmith in the Marketplace. It is located on the Southernmost part of the Monastery.
Free Time Options
If you are not exploring the Monastery on your Free Times, you can also access it via the Marketplace options at the beginning of your Free Times. This way, you need not go exploring if you plan on doing a seminar, battle or rest on that day.
Pre-Fight Options
You can also select the Marketplace in the pre-fight options menu to access the Blacksmith. This is helpful when you've accidentally started a battle without repairing or forging some of your weapons!
