Carry Over Saint Statue Progress
Once you start a New Game + save, all your progress for the four statues in the Monastery will carry over. This means that you can spend your hard-earned Renown elsewhere!

Battalions that you've hired in your previous save will be carried over to the New Game + save file. You do not need to hire new Battalions & instead choose to spend your money on weapons, items, seals, and more.

Shops will unlock after completing quests in your first playthrough. However, these shops will be immediately unlocked in New Game +. You can buy from them as soon as you start exploring the Monastery.

Use Journal To Unlock New Features
The next time you explore on your Free Time, there will be a Journal in your Personal Quarters where you can use to change up different elements of your game!

Change Up Unit Appearances
Using the Journal, you will be able to choose how students will appear on cutscenes, and when you interact with them while exploring. Choose between academy uniforms or war attires!

The Journal will allow you to spend your Renown to buy Professor Levels. Having a higher Professor Level will allow you to earn more funds at the start of each month, and use more Activity Points while exploring just to name a few.

Take note that prices will be reduced if you decide to increase Professor Level one level at a time. This means that leveling to from Professor Level E - B will cost the same as immediately buying Level B.
Increase Support Levels With Renown
You can use the Journal to spend Renown and unlock Support Levels for you and your units. This allows you to unlock more support scenes, and increase relationships easily!

Buy Skill Levels With Renown
Your Renown will also allow you to purchase Skill Levels for students, which allows you to change a unit's class faster!

Unlock Class Abilities
You will also be able to spend Renown on Class Abilities or Combat Arts from classes that you've previously mastered.

Based on your choices in your previous save, you will receive items containing Crest Powers. Crest Powers are a new feature in New Game + where you will be able to use your Renown to purchase Crests which you can then assign to your units!
Things To Remember When Using Journal
Unlocks Determined By Previous Playthrough
Note that you will not be able to unlock every level immediately through the journal. If you were not able to unlock a certain skill, professor, support level, etc. in your previous playthrough, you will not be able to purchase it in the journal.
What Does Not Carry Over
Gold Will Not Carry Over
The money that you've earned in your previous save will not carry over to the New Game + file. This means that you may need to farm money again in order to buy strong weapons and items in the game.

Buy Battalions Before Finishing the Game
Before finishing the game, it is recommended to buy as much Battalions as you can. This way, the Battalions bought will be carried over to the New Game + file. From there, you can sell these Battalions for some extra money.
Use Renown To Buy Professor Levels
If you are looking to get a lot of cash as soon as possible, it is recommended to use your Renown to purchase Professor Levels. Having a higher Professor Level will let the Church grant you more funds at the start of the month!
Character Level Will Be Reset
Your character level along with the levels of other units will be reset at the start of the New Game + save. This means that all student units including Byleth will start at level 1.
Character Classes Will Also Be Reset
Since the level of Byleth and all other students are reset to level 1, their classes from the previous save will also be reset. All student units including Byleth will start New Game + as either a Noble or a Commoner.
Other Levels Will Be Reset
Support Levels, Class Abilities, Skill Levels, and your Professor Level will be reset at the start of New Game +. However, you can use your Renown to purchase levels for all of these.
How to Unlock New Game+
Complete the Game At Least Once
Completing the game at least once will unlock New Game + for you. Completing the game with any of the four routes will unlock New Game +. You will then be prompted to start a New Game + file.

Endgame and New Game + saves will be denoted with a Sothis Mark to the side. This will help you differentiate it from non-endgame or New Game + saves so you do not accidentally overwrite it!
