Death Penalty System
Drop All Items And Money Upon Death
In Palworld's penalty system, when a character dies, their equipment, items, and accompanied Pals are dropped on the spot upon death. To retrive dropped items, you will need to head to the same location, so make sure to play with caution to avoid getting knocked out.
The Death Penalty Varies Depending On The Difficulty Level
The death penalty system in Palworld varies based on the difficulty level set by the player. The higher the difficulty level, the more penalties you will incur, so it is recommended to choose a difficulty level that suits you when playing.
Death Penalties Based On Difficulty
Casual | - There are no penalties when dying. |
---|---|
Normal | - Upon death, all equipment and material items are dropped on the spot. |
Hard | - Upon death, all items and Pals are dropped on the spot. |
Custom | *You can customize the death penalty settings according to your preferences. |
You Can Personally Set The Custom Difficulty Level
Custom difficulty allows you to set detailed settings for the world difficulty level. You have the option to modify the death penalty settings, so adjust them according to your preferences.
Dropped Items Can Be Collected Again
If you die in Palworld, the items you owned will be dropped on the spot. Dropped items will also be marked with an x on the map, and you can collect these dropped items by visiting the same location again.
It Will Not Disappear Even If You Die Twice
When collecting dropped items after dying, even if you die again while trying to collect it the first death package won't disappear and the items you dropped the second time will also stay there. There's no need to hurry because there is no time limit. Take your time, prepare, and then go collect the items so you don't die again.
Death Penalty In The Dungeon
If your character dies inside a dungeon and you drop all your Pals and items, don't worry about them disappearing when the dungeon closes. You can find them at the dungeon entrance, so you can safely go and retrieve them.
