How To Make A Base Foundation

Select A Foundation From The Building Menu

Foundations can be installed by selecting the foundation of each material from the building menu. When building, the foundation must be placed on the ground,so it is difficult to connect disjointed terrain with foundations. For beginners, it is recommended to establish a base in a flat and open area.

Recommended Base Location

The two recommended base locations each have minimal obstacles to construction, allowing for a diverse range of buildings to be built without difficulty. Moreover, they serve as excellent sources for Ore Farming, further enhancing their value.

Build A Foundation From A High Place If There Are Steps

When picking a spot with steps as a base, it's best to adjust the foundation's height accordingly. You can prevent situations where the terrain obstructs the construction of the foundation by laying the foundation from the highest point within the base.

If you start building a foundation from a low point, sometimes the foundation may need to be rebuilt due to the terrain. When deciding to establish a base, it's essential to determine where to build the foundation from the ground.

How To Create Different Base Foundations

The Base Foundation Can Be Extended And Connected By Walls & Stairs

When you're building a foundation on uneven ground, like a slope, and you need to extend it to different heights, you can still support it without any trouble. The method above is especially useful when you're constructing in areas with steep slopes.

How To Add Support To Foundations

Place Walls And A Roof From The Foundation

Install walls in the direction you want to extend the foundation placement, and then set up roofs from the walls. Since roofs cannot be directly connected from the foundation, it is necessary to always connect them through the walls.

Connect Walls Downward From The Roof

To be able to place a foundation, install walls downward towards the desired location. If the height difference is significant, it's not a problem to adjust by installing multiple walls.

Construct The Foundation Along The Bottom Edge Of The Wall

Install the foundation along the bottom edge of the wall. When placing it, always create it in a state where the wall and the foundation are in contact. Due to the strictness of the placement of this foundation, there may be cases where it needs to be adjusted multiple times.

Check If Additional Support Is Needed

Extending the roof upward from the original foundation completes the installation once the support assessment is checked. If the support assessment hasn't increased at this point, redo the following the steps outlined in Procedure 3 and check again after repositioning the foundation.

Base Foundation Tips

Everything Above Will Be Destroyed When Foundation Is Dismantled

When dismantling the foundation, all facilities above will be destroyed simultaneously. If there are important facilities like the Pal Box built on the foundation, they may be destroyed immediately, so be careful not to mistakenly dismantle them.

Refrain From Dismantling The Foundation Connected To The Upper Floors

If there are stairs or walls connected to the ground platform at a height of two or more floors, and there is no other support, destroying the ground platform will cause the upper part to collapse entirely. When dismantling the connection to the upper floor, let's ensure we have other supporting walls or stairs in place.

The Foundation And The Roof Cannot Be Connected

The ground platform can be connected to various structures such as walls, stairs, and sloped roofs for construction, but the roof cannot be directly connected to the ground platform. The roof needs to be built upwards from the foundation via stairs, walls, and other structures.

Install The Stairs Along With The Walls

If you want to connect stairs on top of the foundation, be aware that they can only be placed after installing walls or triangular walls. If you want to connect stairs downward from the foundation, you can do so by installing them directly sideways from the foundation.
