Pal Gear Workbench allows you to craft Pal Gear items like Saddles which unlocks a Pal's certain feature. Having a Pal that can be ridden significantly increases the efficiency of exploration, so creating a saddle for them early on is recommended.

Crafting Requires Capturing The Pal And Unlocking Its Corresponding Technology
Unlike other Workbenches, the Pal Gear Workbench doesn't have any recipes available in its initial state. You need to use Technology points, obtained through level-ups or other means, to unlock recipes. Also, you need to capture at least one Pal that uses a specific Pal Gear to unlock it, as it won't be displayed on the Technology menu otherwise.
