Damage Dealt Is Significantly Reduced
When attacking enemies with damaged weapons, you can only deal about 20% of the original damage. Also, note that the damage of equipments such as Pickaxes for mining will be reduced by about 20%.

Even if a weapon is damaged or continues to be used in a damaged state, you will not lose the weapon. Therefore, while its effectiveness may significantly diminish, you can still keep using a damaged weapon.

You cannot retrieve the materials used to craft weapons in the same way you can when you dismantle buildings or butcher Pals, so sell unwanted weapons and armor to merchants to make money instead.
