How To Create Automate Base
- Choose a Base location where you can mine the resources you want
- Set up the minimum needed Structures
- Set Pals to work on the Base
First find the best location to set up your base to gather the resources that you want. If the resources that you want are wood or stone, then you can just set up a Lumbering or Stone Pit so anywhere is OK.

Starting with the Wooden Chest that you need to store the mined resources, you will need to set up the most basic structures that can take care of your Pals' hunger and SAN. Uncooked food doesn't do much to maintain SAN, so it is recommended to set up several Hot Springs.
Once you have built what you need, assign Pals for not only Mining and Transporting, but to gather food with Planting, Watering, and Gathering skills. Ores take time to respawn, so if you are not in too much of a hurry, you'll want to limit the number of Pals in your base to save food.

If you are going to leave the game running at the Automate Base, it is recommended to have several Flopies in your party. If you have the Flopie's Necklace, then you will be able to gather resources in your base automatically.

If you can change the World Settings, change the settings related to "Gatherable Items/Objects" and you will be able to increase the efficiency of gathering items. Increase all the values shown in the image and the Ore deposits will take longer to break and also respawn faster.
How To Automate Leveling Up
Craft Tons Of Items
If you want to level up in an Automated Base, it is recommended to get XP by crafting items. Create extra "Workbenches" or "Furnaces" and craft as many items as you can with the gathered resources. For example, Ore make Ingots, Coal + Sulfur makes Gunpowder.
Assign Pals In Your Party To Craft Items
If you are crafting at the automated base, don't add more Pals to the base, but have one of your Pals in your party do the work. If you assign them to craft items, they won't walk away from their post even when they finish, so you can avoid the Base Pals from getting distracted with other tasks.

Recommended To Turn OFF Raid Events
If on your World Setting, the "Enable Raid Events" is ON, then your automated base will be attacked by Raids. If your base only has the minimum number of Pals then they won't be able to fight them off, so it is recommended to turn this OFF.
Be Careful For Player's Hunger Meter
If you are planning to make everything automated, or go AFK, then make sure to have a "Feedbag" so the Player doesn't die from hunger. If you are on a multiplayer server, create a human bed so you can sleep to prevent getting hungry.
