How To Fix Not Enough Support
Build Foundation Toward Where You Want To Build
"Not Enough Support" means that you don't have enough Foundations built to add walls or roofs. You can fix this by adding Foundations in the direction you want to build.
Tips! | Your Foundation won't register as any support if the Foundations aren't connected to each other. Always connect them when expanding your buildings. |

Building Foundations At Different Heights
Expanding Foundations Along Walls / Stairs
You can still get support if you connect the Foundations at different heights. This is very useful when building in areas with hills and bumps so try it out if you don't have a flat surface.
How To Build Foundations At Different Heights
- Build a Foundation, Wall and Roof
- Build a Wall Going Down from Roof
- Build a Foundation at the bottom of the Wall
- Check if you have additional support
Build a wall in the direction you want to expand your building, then build a roof from there. You can't build a roof connecting to a Foundation, so you will need to build the wall first.
Build a wall downwards from the roof. If you need to build the Foundation further down, you can just add more walls below to extend it downwards.
Build a Foundation along the bottom side of the wall. The Foundation needs to be touching the wall. This needs to be very precise so you may need to adjust the placement of the Foundation several times.
See if you are able to extend the roof over the new Foundation to check if the Foundation is providing support. If it isn't, adjust the placement of the Foundation again.
Distance Of Support From Foundations
Walls Can Be Placed 1 Block Away
You can only build 1 block away from a Foundation. Roofs can be built up to 2 blocks away in 4 directions, but you won't be able to build walls and stairs on the further side.
Support Has No Limit Building Upwards
You can build a roof as long as there is a Foundation below it. You can extend the roof no matter how high up it is, so you don't have to worry about the support when you build upwards.
Pillars Are Also Useful
If you want to minimize the number of Foundations of the ground, you can build pillars1 block away from each other. This makes it easier to build on hills and also provides a better view.
Use Pillars To Provide Support All Around
You can have less pillars to support roofs if you place them in a certain way. For example, the image above is a 5x5 roof with 1 pillar supporting the roofs in the center.
Building Support Tips
Only 1 Wall Or Stairs Need To Be Connected
As long as there is Foundation below, you only need 1 piece connecting the Foundation and roof. You can also just have stairs connected to the upper floor, so it is also possible to build a structure with no walls at all.
Tips! | If you disassemble the only piece connected to the upper floors, everything above it will be destroyed. Be careful not to disassemble the connecting parts. |

The First Piece Built Supports The Structure
If you build multiple stairs or walls supporting the structure above it, the first one built will be the piece supporting it. Any pieces built for places that already have support won't be able to hold the structure together.
