You can use another method that uses furniture and storage boxes to make specific building items float in the air. Since it can be completely suspended in mid-air, you can create visually appealing structures.

How To Make A Floating Air Base
Building Procedure
Choose Where You Want To Build The Base
First, decide where you want to build your base. Avoid places where there are obstacles that might get in the way and also places with bumps and hills.
Build The Floor
Once you've decided on the location, start laying the base floor. Using 'Galeclaw Rider' allows you to lay the floor faster.
Make Sure You Have Enough Space
It is recommended to secure enough room to place everything you need in the base. In a 9x9, 3-tier setup, you can place all objects with some space to spare.
Build Walls Straight Up
Build a straight line of walls to serve as pillars for an aerial base. Be careful not to destroy the pillars, such as accidentally firing a Rocket Launcher, as it will destroy the entire base. If you are concerned about this, then add 2 or 3 additional pillars as a precaution.
Placing Pillars With The Elevator Glitch Makes It Easy
By utilizing the elevator glitch, you can quickly construct the walls.
| １ | Build a wall with windows and construct 2 to 4 more walls on top of it. |
| 2 | Stand next to the window frame. |
| 3 | Fire the Grappling Gun towards the window while jumping. |
| 4 | Keep building walls while floating upwards. |
Do Not Use Wood
At least use stone to build the pillars. The invading enemy's fire attack may burn and destroy the entire base if you use wood.
Expand The Floor At A Certain Height
Start building the floor once you get to a high enough point.
There Is A Height Limit
When attempting to build above the height limit, you will get a message saying you cannot build in a location that is too high. Make sure to build your base below the height limit.
Reinforce With Additional Pillars
If the pillar is accidentally destroyed for any reason like by a rocket launcher, the entire base will collapse so be cautious. If you're worried, consider building 2 or 3 extra pillars as a backup.
Build 3 Levels Or More
Construct the main part in a 9x9 grid with three layers. The layers should be at least three blocks apart to prevent Pals from getting stuck.
Place The Pal Beds In A Location That Pals Cannot Access
Inside the base, Pal's Sanity (SAN) value will recover even if they don't sleep in the bed, as long as a bed is there. So create a layer for Pal beds in an inaccessible location.

3 Recommended Air Base Locations
West of Rayne Syndicate Tower

One recommended location is the flat ground to the west of the Rayne Syndicate Tower. It is easily accessible from the Plateau of Beginnings.
The Desert Near The Anubis Alpha Pal

The second recommended location is the desert near Anubis Alpha Pal. It is easy to lay floors as there are fewer obstacles.

The third recommended location is the flat area on the eastern side of Island Crossing Coast. It is relatively easy to access from the Plateau of Beginnings.

Flat Area
When choosing a location, make sure to choose an open and flat ground area where it is easy to place the foundation.

Since the hatching speed of eggs varies depending on the temperature, you can choose a location based on the specific type of egg you want to hatch.

Explore and locate your preferred scenery while flying using a Pal Mount. Once you find a place you like, start creating your air base there.

Build Furnitures To Be Used As The Foundation
First, stack furniture that will serve as the foundation for the floating structures. Container-type storage boxes and furniture like benches can also be utilized as the foundation for floating structures.

Place The Structures You Want On Top
Organize the items you wish to place atop the stacked furniture. The picture illustrates an effort to suspend benches by arranging them in midair.
Destroy The Furniture Below
Destroy the stacked furniture from Step 1. If you still want to continue building, it is recommended to leave the topmost furniture, which serves as the foundation, to make later adjustments easier.
Float Structures In Mid-Air
Once the lower furniture is destroyed, the furniture placed above remains there, allowing the furniture to be levitated in mid-air. By applying this technique of floating construction, it is also possible to create a base that is entirely suspended in the air.
