How To Save - Find Save File Location & Game Data

How to save game in Palworld. Learn how to save game progress, disable or turn off auto-save, how to find automatically back up data and how to access save file directory & more.

Save File Location

1. Press Win+R To Open The Run Dialogue

When using a PC, press Win+R first to open the Run dialog box.

2. Enter The File Location And Run

Next, enter %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Local/Pal/Saved/ in the search bar, and press OK. The 'Save Games' folder will then be displayed, allowing you to access the saved data file.

How To Create Multiple Save Data

Create New World To Create Multiple Save Data

Save Data can be created by selecting "Create New World" in the World Select Screen. You can create a new character and start the game fresh.

Cannot Create Multiple Character

You cannot create more than 1 character for each world. Additionally, you cannot recreate nor edit the character so be careful.

How To Transfer Save Data

Open SaveGames Folder

Like checking the save data location, open the SaveGames folder for Palworld.

Open Folder With With Various Numbers

Open a folder with a random number in the SaveGames folder.

Copy World Folder

Copy the folder with a random alphabet which can be found inside the folder with random numbers. This folder is the same data, so copy this folder to add data without deleting.

Paste World Folder From Step 3 To The Designated PC

The folder that you copied in 3 is the saved data, so compress it to transfer then you can move that to another PC where you can unzip and paste.

How To Back Up And Recover Save Data

Back Up Is Automatically Created

Instead of the player manually saving the game, Palworld will automatically save data and create a backup.

Select The World You Want To Recover

From the title screen select "Start Game" and select the world you want to recover

Restore From Backup Data At Bottom Left

After selecting the world, select "Restore from backup Data".

Select Time Of Data You Want To Recover

Once you've selected "Restore from backup Data", select the time you want to recover at. Recovering the data will override it so be careful.

Select Yes If You Want To Recover

Select Yes If You Want To Recover. Press OK once "Save data restored." to complete.

How To Delete Save Data

Select The World You Want To Delete

Select "Start Game" from the title menu, then select the world you want to delete.

Select Delete World

After selecting the world, select "Delete World" at the bottom left.

Enter "DELETE" and press Confirm

Enter "DELETE" in the query, then press confirm.

Select Confirm To Completely Delete

If you press confirm here, the world will be completely deleted.If you did not backup the data, you would not be able to recover, make sure to think twice before pressing confirm.

How To Save

Everything Is Automatically Saved

In Palworld, your game progress is saved automatically. So there is no need to manually save your game when exiting the game or completing actions.

You Cannot Disable The Auto-Save

Since there is no option related to saving in the in-game settings, so it's not possible to disable the auto-save feature to perform things like rerolling to reset the game at a certain point.
