You Can Now Change Your Appearance
In the latest version 0.2.0.6 update, there's a new feature that allows players to change their character's appearance at any time using the Antique Dresser.

To change your character's appearance, simply approach the Antique Dresser and interact with it. This will bring up the character customization menu, where you can make adjustments to various aspects of your character's appearance.

Xbox version for the v0.2.0.6 update is yet to be released when ready so once you create a character on Xbox consoles and Cloud Gaming, you may not be able to change its appearance until the update is available. So it's best to create a look you like right from the start, as you can't change your character's appearance right away once it's made.

Character Creation Starts At The Beginning Of The Game
In Palworld, when creating a new world or entering the server for the first time, character creation starts after entering the player name. Even though changes to character features like face and hair can be made after make sure to set your avatar's appearance to your liking.

Different options are provided for each part, allowing you to freely choose including setting the colors. Additionally, you can also adjust the character's voice, so pick one that suit's your preferences.
