How To Use PIDF To Defeat Pals
Get PIDF To Defeat A Strong Pal
While the PIDF is chasing you, if you manage to deflect their attacks towards a nearby Alpha Pal, the Alpha Pal and PIDF will start attacking each other. Defeating challenging Pals like bosses at higher levels becomes easier by using the PIDF.
How To Defeat Boss Pals Using PIDF
- Attack nearby NPCs to get Wanted status
- Summon high level PIDF guards
- Lead the PIDF to the Pal you want to defeat
- Sandwich the Boss Pal between your Character and PIDF
- Let the PIDF defeat the Pal
First, attack an NPC and become Wanted. Until the wanted status is lifted, you will be pursued by the PIDF.
Attacking the PIDF that have appeared will make them stronger, based on the number of guards you attacked. You can keep attacking them to get more firepower, making it easier to defeat Pals.
Head to where the Pal is located as the PIDF follows you. You can still attack the PIDF to make them stronger if necessary.
The PIDF will only initiate attacks when they are visible on the screen. While PIDF outside the screen will constantly pursue you, they won't engage in attacks. By advancing cautiously to keep them out of sight, you can move safely.
Once you reach the target Boss Pal, move in a way that positions the Pal between the PIDF and your character, then try to redirect PIDF attacks towards the Pal. This will initiate a battle between the Pal and the PIDF.
Now, all that's left is to wait until the Pal's HP reaches 0. Be careful because if you get hit by the PIDF or the Pal's attacks, they may start attacking you instead.
You can obtain loot if you manage to land at least one hit on the Pal before it is defeated. Additionally, you can also acquire Ancient Technology Points upon the first-time defeat of a boss. Note that you won't receive any loot if the PIDF defeats the Pal by themselves.
How To Summon PIDF Guards
Engage In Actions That Will Give You Wanted Status
Attacking friendly NPCs or intruding into the Wildlife Sanctuary will result in being wanted by PIDF. Even when fast traveling or moving to a dungeon, the PIDF will continue to pursue you, so it's best to clear the wanted status quickly.
How To Get Rid Of Wanted Status
Reinforcements Will Arrive When You Attack A PIDF
If you attack the PIDF that spawns, you will also be wanted for assault, causing more PIDF reinforcements to arrive and also increasing their level. Allow your Pals to take care of the attacks to prevent reinforcements from arriving. Utilize your Party and the Pals stationed at your base to defeat them.
You Can Challenge The PIDF's Boss At The Tower
You can find the PIDF Tower in the desert area in the northeast of Palpagos Island. When you go inside, you'll have to fight against Marcus, a top member of PIDF. Make sure you're well-prepared before taking on this battle.
