The recommended level for defeating Victor is around level 50. Since Victor himself is a formidable enemy at level 50, it is necessary to not only capture multiple Pals with Dragon type to attack his weakness but also to raise your level and prepare powerful equipment.

The PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower where Victor appears is located in the snowy ground zone of the continent to the north. You will still take cold damage even if equipped with cold-resistant armor at night, so it's recommended to explore during the day and unlock nearby fast travel points.

When playing on hard difficulty, it may be difficult to defeat the boss with just equipment normally available. Legendary equipment crafted from schematics have exceptionally high stats, so it's recommended to farm schematics if you find it difficult to defeat this boss.

Victor And Shadowbeak Walkthrough Strategy

Target Victor Riding The Pal

Attacking Victor will cause more damage than attacking his Pal, Shadowbeak. You will be able to deal extra damage, so it is best to target Victor during the battle.

Attack From Behind When Not Targeted

Since there's only a 10-minute time limit, your character will need to attack as well. While Victor targets your Pal, seize the opportunity to deliver damage by attacking from behind with your weapons. When you find yourself being targeted, avoid attacking and focus on dodging his attack instead.

Getting Hit By Dark-Type Attacks Limits Your Vision

Victor uses Dark-type attacks, and when it hits you it can limit your vision. It will become a huge disadvantage for you with the clouded vision, so be cautious and always avoid the purple orb attacks.

Watch Out For The 2 Types Of Laser Attacks

Shadowbeak will gather light in its beak and charge a beam with Electric or Dark type elements. Once unleashed, it will track your movements, so try to evade it by rolling while moving.

Red Glowing Spheres Will Track You

Shadowbeak will also use Spirit Flame attack, where it fires three red glowing spheres that has extremely high homing capabilities, and when hit, it will inflict continuous damage. Even if you think you dodged it, there's still a chance of getting hit so it's recommended to roll several times when evading it.

Light Orbs Shoot Lasers Straight Towards You

Watch out for Divine Disaster, as it will generate a number of light orbs that launch lasers one by one. The attacks follow a straight path and are easy to avoid, but they will keep coming so roll to the left or right to evade its attack.

Hurls An Ice Attack With Large AoE

After ice chunks appear above Victor's head, he hurls an ice sphere at you, causing an explosion that spreads from the point of impact. The range is very wide, making it difficult to avoid. You will be in a frozen state if you get hit. Get away from it as soon as you see the Ice forming above its head.

Change The Damage Multiplier If You Struggle

The bug that allowed the tower boss to be captured has been fixed with the v0.1.5.0 update released on 2/27 (Tuesday). Although it was officially announced through X that it was unintentionally implemented, it remains uncertain whether the boss can be captured again.

Unlock The Fast Travel At The Entrance Of The Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower

First, head to the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower and unlock the Fast Travel near the entrance. It stands atop the snowy mountain straight north from the Plateau of Beginnings.

Enter The Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower After Alerting PIDF

Next, attack a friendly NPCs such as villagers to trigger the Wanted Criminal (WANTED) status. Since you won't become a wanted individual when you let your Pal attack, so you will need to attack using your own hands. Once you are wanted, use Fast Travel to head inside the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower.

Small Settlement Is Close To Plateau Of Beginnings

There are no PIDFs near the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower. Head west from the Plateau of Beginnings to the Small Settlement, where there are NPCs (PIDF) so it's easy to get wanted there.

Direct The PIDF's Attack On Victor

Starting the boss battle in this way, there will be PIDFs in the boss area. Guide them to hit Victor with PIDF's Attack.

Capture Victor When Immobilized

While you are running away, check if the PIDF's Attack hits Victor, as he will stop moving. Once he is in this state, you can capture him by throwing a Pal Sphere.

Return To The Title → Complete By Logging In Again

Once you can catch Victor, open the menu and return to the title. The game starts from outside the tower when you log in again and the wanted status is also cleared. Confirm that Victor and Shadowbeak is in the inventory or in the Palbox to complete process.
