To efficiently make Jam-filled Buns, you need to automate the process of producing Wheat and Berries. You will need to build a Wheat Plantation and Berry Plantation, build a Mill to create Flour, and lastly a Cooking Pot. You will be using this food frequently so you can also make a base just for producing Jam-filled Buns.

Choose the Location for the Base
base location

First choose where you want to create a Jam-filled Bun factory. You will want to create it on high cliffs where it's safe from raids or flat areas where it's easy to manage the process.

Place each Structure in the Base
placing structure

Once you choose the location for the base, start placing the required structures. Be careful where you place them because if you place them too far apart it will become less efficient.

Assign Pals so they can Start Working

Once you have set up your Jam-filled Bun factory, you will want to assign your employee Pals to the structures. Berries and Wheat will start filling the Feed Box so keep it in there until you get a good amount.

Place Berries in the left slot inside Feed Box
Place Berries here

Pals consume the food in the Feed Box starting from the left slot to the right. Wheat's nutritions are low and you will be using it to produce flour so make sure to place the berries on the left.

Create Flour → Start cooking
creating flour

Once you get a good amount of Wheat, use the Mill to make Flour. As long as you are in the base you can use the Mill to make Flour even if you are not holding any Wheat in your inventory. Once the Flour is made, you can choose the Jam-filled Bun in the Cooking Pot and start baking. Once the baking is finished, pick it up and put it in the Feed Boxes in your other bases.

Can be stored in Cooking Pot

Cooked (Crafted) Meals start to rot once you pick it up and put it in your inventory. Which means if you don't pick it up from the Cooking Pot, it won't rot. Create multiple Cooking Pots to craft food separately so you can take them out in smaller portions. This way you can avoid wasting your food.

How To Use Jam-filled Bun

Perfect For Food For Base Working Pals

Jam-filled Bun

Jam-fiiled Bun can be made easily with "Wheat" and "Berries" and it has high nutrition, recovers SAN, and lasts a long time before it rots. You can craft it from early game, so it is recommended to bake it for your working Pals in the Base.

Berries Are Easier To Make

Jam-filled Buns have great nutrition but gathering Wheat and making it into Flour → Cooking it → Picking It Up → Placing it in the Feed Box is a lot of work for the Player. If you don't want to deal with that, then just making a Berry Plantation and Feed Box is a lot easier.
