Use High Grade Medical Supplies
Depression can be treated with High Grade Medical Supplies. Hover the cursor over Pal, then press 4 for PC or the RS/R3 button for consoles. Choose Feed then choose the Medical Supplies in the inventory to administer it.

Craft On The Medieval Medicine Workbench

When Pals have a Depression status debuff, Work Speed decreases by 30%. As work efficiency drops significantly, it is advisable to start treatment immediately.
Movement Speed Decreases
Depression will greatly reduce the movement speed in the base. It will increase the time it takes to go from structure to structure meaning that it will also reduce work efficiency.
How To Prevent Depression
Build Enough Palbeds And Hotsprings
When Pals SAN value is low, it becomes more prone to illness and injury. Be sure to build a Pal Bed and Hot Spring at the base to prevent the SAN value of Pals from dropping too much.
Set Up A Feed Box And Automate Meals
When Pal satiety decreases, makes it more likely for the SAN value to decrease. By building a Feed Box at the base and placing food in it, you can avoid the decrease in satiety.
