How To Choose Food For Pals

You'll want to feed better food to Pals that eat a lot, but the cost to make them are high. So you don't need to optimize what to feed them until you're ready to mass produce the most efficient food.
Feed Pizza For Pals That Require 7 Food or More
If you have a Pal on the Base that requires 7 food or more, the best food to feed them will be something that has a Nutrition value of at least 200. But ingredients like Meat which makes high nutrition foods are hard to produce, so we recommend feeding "Pizza" since you can produce all the ingredients in the base.
Baked Berries Are Good For Early Game

In the early game, you will only have access to a few ingredients so "Baked Berries" is the best mass produced meal. It is more effective than Red Berries and it doesn't take too much time to make, so it is the best meal to make until you develop your base.
Feed Meals That Match The Required Food Amount
Base Pals repeat the same process, "Head to Feed Box when Hunger meter is half empty → When half full then they go back to work". If they don't get full in one trip, they will head back to the Feed Box frequently. So it is important to place foods that replenishes half their Hunger meter.
Don't Feed Better Food Than Needed
There is no problem feeding high nutrition foods to Pals that don't eat much, but the Hunger meter has a limit and and you could be wasting good food.

How To Check Required Food Amount
Under the Pal's status and details, the amount of Bread icons is the amount of Food the Pal needs. The required food amount does not change when Condensed or for Alpha Pals (whose sizes are bigger).

The maximum hunger meter value is determined by the required food amount for each Pal. Hunger meter goes down faster for Pals with a bigger required food amount, but the speed it goes from Full to zero is about the same for all Pals.
How To Effectively Use Feed Boxes
Place Near Working Location
When you place a Feed Box near the working area, you can cut down the time of the Pals heading to the box. This way you can make sure to leave foods for the Pals assigned.
Place Foods You Want Consumed First In Left Slot
The Feed Box will be consumed from the left slot. Add items that will easily rot first into this section.
Add "Cotton Candy" To Rest Of The Slots
If any slots on the right are empty, add "Cotton Candy" so the Pals can not add other Food items into the Feed Box. They will not eat raw ingredients before adding to the Cooking Pot this way and Cotton Candy does not rot so you will not lose food.
