The quest has the same structure as that of the Kulve Taroth siege, with the main objective being the defeat of Safi'jiiva. The battle is fought in stages & you can only defeat it once you've reached the final level, Level 3.

Even if you fail the quest, hunting down Safi'jiiva will still give you some rewards as Reward Level & Energy Levels are carried over & you can still get materials by just breaking Safi'jiiva's parts.
Take Safi'jiiva Down With 16 Players
Up to 16 players will split into 4 parties of 4, & can meet up at the Gathering Hall & challenge the Red Dragon. Looking for Gathering Halls specifically hunting the Safi'jiiva is recommended to get more loot at the end of the run.
Solo Is Not Recommended
While it is possible to challenge Safi'jiiva alone, it is not recommended as it is extremely inefficient & difficult as compared to fighting with a group of 16 people.
