Faster & More Aggressive When Charged

The Stygian Zinogre will also charge up its Dragon element, much like the regular Zinogre. It will move faster & be more aggressive in its charged up state so be careful when it's powered up.

Bring Dragon Resistance

The Stygian Zinogre's attacks are Dragon-based & will hurt much more if you're inflicted with Dragonblight. Make sure to bring Dragon resistance armor to counter this.

Eat Nulberries When Inflicted With Dragonblight

Always bring a stash of Nulberries when fighting against the Stygian Zinogre. Its Dragonblight is very dangerous & can easily knock you out if you get hit by its attacks when you have this blight on.

Prone To Thunder Damage When Charged

Prone To Thunder Damage When Charged

When the Stygian Zinogre is powered up and charged, your Thunder elemental weapon will be much more damaging. Make sure to bring a Thunder element weapon to this fight!

Stygian Zinogre - Moves & Counters

Paw Swipes Stygian Zinogre will swipe at you with its paws, dodge to avoid getting hit
Somersault Tail Swipe Monster will spin and damage will be done via its tail. Roll backwards to keep safe
Somersault Back Attack Monster will paw at you and spin, jumping to land on its back over you. Roll away to keep from taking damage
Dragon Lightning Calls down red spots or streaks of lightning on the field
Dragon Lighting Bugs Sends swirls of Dracophage bugs to inflict damage & Dragonblight. Keep distance to avoid the blight
Jump Attack + Torpedo Spin Will jump and strike with its paw twice then torpedo forward

The Stygian Zinogre has more area-of-effect damage than its regular counterpart, making it very annoying. This attack can be spots or streaks of lighting.

Does Up To 3 Streaks Lighting When Powered

When the Stygian Zinogre is enraged and powered up on Dragon element, the streaks of lighting will appear 3 times on the field. Don't keep still and dodge vertically to avoid getting hit.

Keep Eye On Direction Of Torpedo

Keep Eye On Direction Of Torpedo

The Stygian Zinogre will do two jump paw attacks then barrel towards you in a torpedo attack. This torpedo has a linear trajectory so make sure to dodge sideways to avoid it.

Thunder element weapons are most effective, Stygian is immune to dragon element.
