Namielle - Tips & Tricks

Namielle Overview

Namielle Overview

Namielle is one of the new Elder Dragons to arrive in the New World of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. It has large glowing wings & whiskers, making it reminiscent of deep-sea jellyfish.

Has Both Water & Lightning Attacks

Has Both Water & Lightning Attacks

Namielle is a unique Elder Dragon, having both water-based & thunder-based attacks. It combines it water and thunder elements as it electrifies pools of water around it.

Preparing For Namielle

Bring Water & Lightning Resistant Equipment

Since the Namielle has 2 elemental properties, you need to raise your resistance to both of them. Bring Water & Thunder Resistant gear or keep Nulberries in your Item Pouch in case you're afflicted with Water or Thunder blights.

Namielle Is Vulnerable to Fire

The Namielle is weak to fire-based weapons so make sure to have a fully upgraded, powerful fire weapon to deal enough damage & defeat this monster. Try equipping the Fire Attack skill to further amp up your fire damage!

Have a Supply of Nullberries

Get rid of Thunderblight and Waterblight by taking Nullberries. With 2 blights to worry about, you can also use a cleanser booster to get rid during the fight.

Body Dries When Spitting Water

Body Dries When Spitting Water

The Namielle soaks up water from its surroundings and spews it out as an attack. When it does, it dries its body up, making it vulnerable to your hits.

Keep Attacking From Behind Or Its Sides

The Namielle's attacks are mainly targeted forward. This includes most of its water attacks and its lightning strikes. If you want to keep safe, stay behind or beside it when attacking.

Attack Its Side When Doing Water Breaths

Attack Its Side When Doing Water Breaths

Namielle's water breath attacks are always front-facing. If you move to the side of the monster, you'll be able to freely hit its body without getting damaged by its water breaths.

Avoid Water Tides By Going To Its Side

The Namielle mainly discharges water to its front, leaving tides and pools of water on the field. You can avoid getting caught up in the waves by sticking to either side of the monster's body.

Check Ground Where Electric Discharge Will Hit

Check Ground Where Electric Discharge Will Hit

The Namielle's big electric discharge attack can be hard to avoid but you can dodge out of the way if you check where the lightning glows in the water. This is where the electricity will hit so dodge when you're standing on it.
