Seething Bazelgeuse Overview

A new monster in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the Seething Bazelgeuse is a subspecies of the bomber monster Bazelgeuse. It is constantly glowing and drops different colored bomb scales compared to the normal variant.

Drops Blue Scales That Have Bigger Explosions

The Seething Bazelgeuse has an orange-purple glow where it drops its bomb shards. This subspecies actually drops a blue colored scale that stays on the field for a few seconds before dealing a big explosion.

Preparing For Seething Bazelgeuse

Has A Weakness To Ice

The Seething Bazelgeuse has a weakness to the ice element. It is recommended to bring Ice weapons in conjunction with the Ice Attack skill to deal massive amounts of damage to the monster!

Bring Dung Pods To Focus On The Monster

During your fight with the Seething Bazelgeuse, several other monsters may show up. It would be best to bring some Dung Pods to force other monsters to flee so that you can focus solely on fighting the Seething Bazelgeuse.

Keep Distance From Blue Bomb Scales

When the Seething Bazelgeuse tosses blue bomb scales, keep your distance from them. They stay in the field for several seconds and detonate with big explosions that can deal heavy damage.

Seething Bazelgeuse - Moves & Counters

Low Glide AttackMonster will glide close to the ground, hitting anything in its path with its body
Gliding Bomb AttackWhen airborne, will glide over an area, dropping its scales which then explode after a certain period of time
Explosive Scale AttackWill drop its scales onto the ground which will then explode after a brief period
Stomp AttackWill stomp its foot on the ground. This attack can possibly apply defense down status effect
Divebomb AttackAfter spreading purple scales, it will leap upwards then divebomb to the center of the scaled area, causing a massive explosion
Front Charge AttackSeething Bazelgeuse will rush forward and make a u-turn towards a player to knock them down again
Explosive NovaSeething Bazelgeuse will fly up and spread blue scales everywhere before diving down to create a large explosion

Avoid Exploding Scales As Much As Possible

The Seething Bazelgeuse will litter its scales around the field. If you are caught in the explosion, you will catch fire. Be careful around these obstacles, especially the purple colored scales as these do much more damage!

Use Clutch Claw Sparingly

Since the Seething Bazelgeuse litters the ground with its scales, it may be difficult to use the Clutch Claw as you may land in an area with several explosive scales. Only use the Clutch Claw when you are sure that the area is clear!

Temporal Mantle will Let You Stay on when Attached

If you clutch on Seething Bazelguese while wearing the Temporal Mantle, you won't be pushed off or damaged from it. This will allow you to Fling Shot it to the wall with no problem.

Stay Clear of Seething Bazelgeuse During Explosive Nova

When the Seething Bazelgeuse initiates its exploding Nova, make sure to stay away from the center of the blue scales. That is usually where the Seething Bazelgeuse drops for its nova.
