How to Unlock Ruiner Nergigante
Get to MR 99
Ruiner Nergigante is locked behind MR 100. You'll need to reach the MR level first before you can get a quest to encounter him. Completing this quest will also remove the cap to your MR.

Ruiner Nergigante Overview
The Ruiner Nergigante is a subspecie of Monster Hunter World's Flagship Monster - Nergigante. It now combines it physical attacks with spike damage to unleash devastating moves one after the other.
Has Spikes That Regrow
Like its normal version, the Ruiner Nergigante also has black and white spikes that regrow all over its body. However, this time it also has metal spikes that do not regrow when broken.
Preparing For Ruiner Nergigante
Bring High Defense Equipment
The Ruiner Nergigante has a high attack power that can be very physically damaging. It's best to bring Health or Defense Boost skills that can help negate the damage the monster can inflict on you.
Wield Dragon & Blast Weapons
Dragon & Blast element weapons can deal more damage than other elemental weapons against this monster. Bring these types when hunting the Ruiner Nergigante.
Break Metal Spikes To Lessen Damage
The Ruiner Nergigante has small metal spikes around its body, just like its black and white ones. However, these do not regrow and when broken, can lessen the damage the monster can dish out on you.

Ruiner Nergigante - Moves & Counters

| Arm Clap | Pulls arms back & up and hits the ground. Thorns will fly. Dodge away from the arm to keep from getting hit. |

Avoid Attacking Its Front
A lot of the Ruiner Nergigante's moves are front-facing attacks which also tosses its spikes in a small area-of-effect. You can keep relatively safe while attacking when you're behind the monster.
Dive the Spike Throw Attack
Ruiner Nergigante has a new move wherein it unleashes a barrage of spikes around it. The best way to avoid this is to run from Ruiner Nergigante and press the Dodge key to Dive. This will save you from the damage.
Check Arm to Know where to Dodge
When Ruiner Nergigante flies up in the air to attack, watch its arms to see which side you can dodge you. Head to the opposite side of its raised arm to avoid the attack
