What is the Raider Ride Feature?
New Way of Traveling Around the Map
The Raider Rides feature is a new way for your hunter to traverse the map while hunting for monsters. With this feature, you will be able to ride on Tailraider Monsters as they assist you in tracking the monster.
Set Your Destination on the Map
Open your map and set a pin to where you want to go. If you set your target as a monster, the Tailraider Monster will take you to the monster's location.
Will Follow Target Monster When Destination is Not Set
If no destination is set on your map, the Tailraider Monster will take you to the nearest monster track of the currently targeted monster.
Call Using the Tailraider Signal
You will be able to summon the Tailraider Monster by using the Tailraider Signal in your inventory. The icon will look like a monster with a saddle on its back.
Get Tailraider Signal From Your Palico
You get Tailraider Signal by talking to your Palico in Seliana or in the tent if you are at a campsite. However, you must have unlocked it first.

Just like when your Palico rides the Tailraider Monster, you will not be able to use this feature if the monster's HP bar is reduced to 0. You may need for the monster to recover or try again in a different quest.
Can Ride As Many Times As You Want
Once you call the Tailraider Monster with the Raider Ride item, you will be able to ride that monster as many times as you want during that quest. However, please note that there are some areas where it cannot be called like camps.
Conditions Before Using Raider Ride
Must Befriend the Monster
Before you are able to ride a particular monster, make sure that your Palico has already befriended it. Therefore you can only use this feature when playing solo or when you are playing with only one other hunter.
Befriend Grimalkynes To Unlock Tailraider Monsters
In order for you to unlock different Tailraider Monsters, you will need to let your Palico befriend the different Grimalkyne tribes around the map. Once your Palico befriends them, you will be able to befriend the Tailraider Monster related to that tribe.
