Proceed To Your Meeting Subsection Seven

Someone has requested to speak with you down in the Subsection Seven. Proceed to the Elevator and head down to the Subsection Seven floor. Enter the Blue Door, head straight then turn at the right side and proceed to the door with a warning sign above. You will be able to access it following the dialogue with your companion and the Security Guard.

Use The Intercom

Once you get inside, go straight to the other door and open it. Head down the stairs and use the Intercom at the table.

Speak To Vae Victis

The stranger will introduce himself as Francois Sanon, also known as Vae Victis, an admiral during the Colony War who was sentenced to death but was imprisoned secretly instead by the previous regime due to his apparent significant value.

Track Down Dr. Reginald Orlase

He has made it clear that he will disclose additional information only if you can either apprehend or deal with Dr. Reginald Orlase in exchange for revealing the names and whereabouts of Hadrian and Percival's former research team, which may be essential for progressing with the Terramorph project.

Speak To Deputy Macintyre

It's not mandatory, but you have the option to meet with Deputy Macintyre initially and discuss the recent meeting as well as Sanon's request. Deputy Macintyre prefers that you bring Dr. Reginald Orlase alive rather than resorting to lethal action.

Speak To Captain Marquez

Captain Marquez can be found in The Den, located near Chthonia in the Wolf System. Once docked, board the ship and you can find her in the hallways. Captain Marquez verifies that there is no Dr. Reginald Orlase in the Den, but she points you toward a ship named The Warlock in the vicinity of Etherea, which may offer some leads or information.

Find The Warlock

The location lies on the far side of the planet opposite to the sun, resulting in rather dim lighting so exercise caution as you may crash into the floating debris. You will come across The Warlock as you venture deeper into the debris field.

Prepare For A Space Combat

The Warlock will try to overtake you on the way, so you can change to a different ship with higher speed to run after them. Additionally, you must remain vigilant against their attacks and make the necessary preparations for an imminent Ship Battle.

Destroy The Ship

It's better if you have already unlocked the Targeting Control Systems before the Ship Combat ensues so you can target lock the Warlock. It may be quite speedy and hard to catch, but its shield is low so you can damage it quite easily.

Related Skills For Starships & Space Battles

Collect The Evidence

Retrieve Dr. Reginald Orlase's UC: Science Division ID from the ship's wreckage to obtain proof of the task's completion before returning to Vae Victis.

Return The Evidence To Vae Victis

Head back to the Subsection Seven in the UC headquarters to hand over the evidence confirming Orlase's demise. Turn over the ID to Vae Victis in the Transfer System next to the window panel.

Speak To Vae Victis

The quest will be completed once you have talked with Vae Victis once more. You will also unlock the next mission, War Relics, where you will need to find and assist the remaining research team member on their way to the Red Devils Headquarters.
