Back To Vectera Is Unlocked After The Old Neighborhood


Back To Vectera is started alongside The Empty Nest after clearing the The Old Neighborhood. If you speak with Sarah once more, she will ask Noel about Barrett's status, who was supposedly packing up operations on the Argos Extractors in Vectera. However, there is no information available regarding his current status. Therefore, you will be required to travel to that location and investigate the situation to uncover what has transpired.

Vectera Is Anselon's Moon

The Argos Extractors Mining Outpost is located in Vectera, one of Planet Anselon's Moons, which is located in the Narion System.

Lin Is At The Launch Pad

Lin is at the Launch Pad

You can find Supervisor Lin easily when you arrived in Vectera as she is seen just a few meters away from the ship. Speak to her to get more info about Barrett. You'll also learn that the Pirates may have done something to the Comms Computer, so you will need to fix it first to be able to contact Barrett.

How To Fix The Comms Computer

You can clear the mission objective "Fix The Comms Computer" through two methods: you can search for a Power Source, or alternatively, you can inspect the [Security] section to extract the data storage. Opting for checking the Security allows for a quicker completion of the task.

Power Receptacle Is Right Across The Research Lab

In order to repair the Communications Computer, you'll need to supply Power Cells to the Power Receptacle to open it up. Once you entered the room, you will notice that there is a Research Lab on the left side near the door leading to the Communications Computer. Just across the room for it, at the right side of the entrance, there is a Power Receptacle. However, Power Cell is required to power it so you will need to obtain 3 Power Cells.

Obtain 3 Power Cells

1Head outside and search the Robot around for Emergency Power Cells.

You can also get one when you ask Supervisor Lin.
3You can get one at the MedBench.
4Add the Emergency Power Cells to the Power Receptacle. It will glow up blue when it is powered and you can now use the computer to check the Emergency Transmission Logs to get clues on Barrett's location.

Recruit Lin As Your Crew During Your Travel To Prax

Once you get the coordinate to Barrett and Heller's location, you can recruit and add Lin to your crew. Her Companion Skills include Outpost Management and Demolitions which you might find useful later on.

How To Listen To The Emergency Transmission Audio?

Depending on your earlier course of action in retrieving Barret's audio transmissions, you will get Emergency Transmission 01 when you choose the Check Security while you will get the Emergency Transmission 02 when you choose to get a Power Source to "fix" the computer.

Listen to the Audio Logs to find a clue to Barret's Location.

Find The Crashed Ship Location And Recruit Heller


The Crashed Ship's location varies depending on the Emergency Transmission you got first from your previous choice to retrieve it from the computer. If you got the Emergency Transmission 01, you will need to head to Gryphus while in the Emergency Transmission 02 you will need to rescue them in Bessel 3. Either ways, you will find Heller injured and lying besides the Crashed Ship. He apparently survived somehow but Barrett has been captured by the Crimson Fleet. You can recruit Heller to your crew and make use of his Outpost Engineering and Geology Companion Skills in your journey.

Travel To Gryphus Or Bessel 3

The Crimson Fleet's Location also varies depending on the second transmission audio you will get from rescuing Heller. If you got Audio Transmission 2 you will need to get to Bessel 3 while in Audio Transmission 1 you will need to go to Gryphus. The quest objectives doesn't vary that much aside from the locations so rest assured that whatever choice you have made prior does not have a major impact on the story.

Head To The Crimson Fleet Outpost Location

Barrett is held inside the Crimson Fleet Outpost that is protected by a Turret and some Pirate Brigand. You can just make a run towards the door and focus on getting Barrett and deal with it later on or clear the area first.

Rescue Barrett From Matsura

You can pay 4,000 Credits, let your Companion do the negotiation or attack him and start an outpost battle. However, it is much better to Persuade Matsura instead since the Persuasion Points needed is only 6 and which you can easily achieve given the available 3 Turns.

Barret Can Be Added To Your Crew

The Back To Vectera mission will be completed once you talk to Barrett at the Library back at the Lodge. You will also have to opportunity to recruit Barrett to be able to use his Companion Skills and unlock Romance Options with him.
